Schizophrenia or something else? In this video, a young 21 year old man recovers from hearing voices without the the use of medication. Although Rhaka was not diagnosed with schizophrenia by his psychiatrist, he did experience many symptoms that are typical of schizophrenia such as visual and auditory hallucinations. I am convinced that in Australia he would have most certainly received this diagnosis given the state of the current mental health system. Regardless, I believe that this is an exceptional story of a young man who fought against the odds and overcame his demons.

In this video I want to talk about the 1985 film Back to The Future and the 1986 film Ferris Bueller’s Day Off. Back to The Future was the highest grossing film of 1985. Interestingly the second highest grossing film of 1985 was Teen Wolf also starring Michael J. Fox. Ferris Bueller’s Day Off was also a big hit in 1986 and is one of my all-time favourite films. How to Overcome Panic Attacks: The best long term strategy to overcome panic attacks is by learning how to respond appropriately to them when they occur.

The AWARE method is one of the most effective methods in overcoming panic attacks.

1. Accept and acknowledge you are feeling anxiety and panic. Don’t try to resist it because this will make your anxiety and panic worse.

2. Watch the anxiety and notice the sensations, symptoms, and feelings of panic. Pause and breathe for a moment. Tell yourself that you are safe and that you will be OK.

3. Act normally, continue to breathe, and try not to be tempted to escape. Being preoccupied with fleeing the situation will only make your symptoms even more intense. Now pause again, breathe, and notice how you are feeling.

4. Repeat the steps 1, 2 and 3 if necessary.

5. Expect the best and remind yourself that the panic attack will end. Have you ever had a panic attack that did not end? Exactly. They always end regardless of how well you manage it.

Responding appropriately in an underreactive, objective, and accepting manner is the best long-term strategy to overcome panic attacks.

Why Trying to Get Rid of Anxiety Makes it Worse

The anxiety fire is a metaphor for the counterintuitive nature of anxiety. Trying to get rid of your anxiety and anxiety symptoms will only make things worse, like throwing fuel onto the fire. Anxiety is a counterintuitive problem, therefore we need a counterintuitive solution. Remember, whatever we resist, persists.

A fire will go out in one of two ways. Either the fire will eventually burn itself out or the fire will be put out by pouring water onto it. When it comes to anxiety our first instincts of how to respond to it are usually wrong and instead of making it better we inadvertently make the problem worse. Essentially, the main reason that you are not overcoming your anxiety is because you keep pouring fuel onto the anxiety fire.

Whether you are experiencing Generalized Anxiety Disorder, Social Anxiety Disorder, Panic Disorder, etc., this concept applies. The harder we try to get rid of anxiety, the more we reinforce it. The paradox is that we must do the opposite to what our instincts are telling us to do.

How to Overcome Anxiety Brain Fog: Today we explore brain fog. If you have been experiencing brain fog then perhaps it is from anxiety? Perhaps you are experiencing too much stress?

Anxiety is caused by fearful behaviour. This behaviour triggers the release of stress hormones into the body, leaving you feeling anxiety, with many symptoms, including brain fog. When people begin to experience this symptom they usually describe at least one or all of the following: Feeling an overall lack of mental clarity, finding it difficult to concentrate on anything, even for short periods of time, feeling confused, feeling like they are stupid, feeling disorientated, spaced out or unreal, being forgetful, and sometimes even feeling like your head is going to explode. If you really want to know how to overcome frequent urination caused by anxiety then you need to watch this video. There is so much incorrect information out there, sending you further down the rabbit hole. This video gives you the tools you need to begin overcoming from frequent urination and other anxiety symptoms.

Twenty years ago I started to experience anxiety. I also began to experience a whole host of anxiety symptoms including a churning stomach, shaking, brain fog, irritability, feeling like I was going to start crying for no reason plus many more. By far the most aggravating symptom I had was frequent urination. It took me a long time to understand this and how to overcome it.
At my worst I would need to pee like 40 to 50 times a day. I can’t say the exact number for sure but what I can say is that I would feel the need to pee again as soon as I walked out of the toilet.
This symptom persisted for years because I did not understand what was causing it and I did not understand that my resistant attitude towards it was making the symptom more frequent and more intense….I was pretty sure it was my anxiety that was causing the symptoms but I didn’t really fully understand and appreciate what I needed to do in order to overcome this.
Firstly, I want to explain the steps involved in how symptoms like this are developed, why they persist and finally how to overcome these symptoms.
