Discover the BMW Reversing Assistant, a feature designed to simplify your reversing experience. Your car memorizes the last 200m driven forward, allowing for effortless back-up. Once activated, your BMW takes control of the steering, ensuring precision and safety.

The system does not relieve you of your personal responsibility to assess the traffic situation correctly. Due to system limits, it cannot respond independently and appropriately in all traffic situations. There is a risk of accident, danger of injury and danger of material damage. Discover in this video how the Highway Assistant and the Active Lane Change function as part of the optional Driving Assistant Professional facilitate steering. Driving on the highway in Assisted Driving Mode Plus, when all requirements are being met and Assisted Driving Plus is available you can take your hands off the steering wheel and relax. Your BMW will assist you to stay in your lane keeping the set Cruise Control speed and the set distance to traffic in front of you, as long as you watch the road attentively. In Assisted Driving Mode Plus you can even use the Lane Change Assistant without having to hold the steering wheel by looking into the exterior mirror, when a display hint informs you about a possible lane change.

🔵 Safety First
The system cannot serve as a substitute for the driver’s personal judgment in assessing the traffic situation. Based on the limits of the system, it cannot independently react to all traffic situations. There is a risk of accident. Adjust driving style to traffic conditions. Watch the surrounding traffic situation closely, be ready to take over steering and braking at any time, and actively intervene where appropriate.
