I ALWAYS WONDERED WHY THEY CALLED IT THAT!!!

Today we're going to explore my shopping routine to show how accessible good organic food is and how friendly Serbian sellers were to a foreigner who doesn't speak Serbian, just a few tram stops away from my front door. We leave my apartment, get on the tram, and explore the market. Smederevski Đeram Green Market in Begrade's Vracar district was one of the friendliest! Let's go explore it!

Directions: Use Google Maps public transportation option to get directions from where you are located in Belgrade to Smederevski Đeram Green Market or Super Vok on King Alexander Blvd in Belgrade also called Bulevar kralja Aleksandra.

While most capital cities in other countries were closed this year due to the current "situation" we'll leave unnamed. Locals were telling me how great the parties on New Years "used" to be and not to expect too much this year due to the "situation". They said Jelena Karleusa is known for really great concerts but they are not sure about this year -- but Jelena Karleusa came through for the citizens of Belgrade at the time of the most need -- and she slayed the stage during her New Years Concert 2022! I am really happy I attended, and can defiantly recommend it for next year! Start making your plans now to come to the Serbian capital of Belgrade (pronounced and spelled Beograd in Serbian -- "White City") for Christmas and New Years Celebrations next year! Thank you to Jelena Karleusa, her dancers, and the lighting and audio technicians that made this possible. Everybody in the crowd was extremely pleased, and not one incident broke out as everybody was extremely well behaved and polite.

The Temple of Saint Sava (Serbian Cyrillic: Храм Светог Саве, romanized: Hram Svetog Save, lit. ''The Temple of Saint Sava'') is a Serbian Orthodox church which sits on the Vračar plateau in Belgrade, Serbia. It was planned as the bishopric seat and main cathedral of the Serbian Orthodox Church. The church is dedicated to Saint Sava, the founder of the Serbian Orthodox Church and an important figure in medieval Serbia. It is built on the presumed location of St. Sava's grave. His coffin had been moved from Mileševa Monastery to Belgrade. The coffin was placed on a pyre and burnt in 1595 by Ottoman Grand Vizier Sinan Pasha. Bogdan Nestorović and Aleksandar Deroko were finally chosen to be the architects in 1932 after a second revised competition in 1926/27 (for which no first award was granted, Nestorović being runner up). This sudden decision instigated an important debate in interwar Yugoslavia which centered around the temple's size, design and symbolic national function.[6][7][8][9][10] This was accompanied by a sizeable increase in the base area of the ambitiously conceived project. The new design departed from the competition guidelines issued in 1926, and was to replicate the dimensions and architecture of Hagia Sophia.
