Gary Lovisi And Paperback Parade shares a rare and interesting vintage paperback with an insert. British PAN books published a paperback in 1962 titled “Children Of The Sun” by Morris West. This true story is about Don Mario Borelli who was known as “the priest of Urchins “ for his work with poor Street kids wandering the slums of Naples. Borelli’s story was so compelling to Mr. West, he documented it here for the world to know. Interestingly, the publisher not only placed an ad soliciting contributions from readers to Don Borelli’s cause, they also included a foldout insert in the back of the book publishing reactionary letters from the Archbishop of Liverpool and Eric Abbott. Very neat to see and we hope you enjoy seeing it!
