The 30-40 Krag had a very short service live with the American military, but became the go-to rifle to sporterize during the great Depression and the Prohibition era. While the @BerettaCommunity APX series of pistols were mostly designed for the U.S. Armed Forces' XM17 Modular Handgun System competition, they were not selected, even though they passed all of the testing requirements.
With that unfortunate result, Beretta has added a few variants to the APX line and are selling them to the civilian market at a very competitive price.

As a smaller man, what are the best non-firearm self defense options I have at my disposal? Carrying a firearm isn’t always an option for me and, while I wouldn’t say I’m out of shape, I simply don’t have the mass to comfortably go toe to toe with someone much larger than me.
Obviously de-escalation and leaving the situation will always be my first choices but as a member of a targeted group that won’t always be an option.
