I started making this cadence earlier today. The main 16 bars of it is roughly 30 seconds long, so I repeated the cadence so you can have a more extended play. I am hoping to expand on the cadence, hence why it's a demo.

BitChute is having troubles with post processing. I tried changing the audio levels in the video, and it still has post production quality issues. Hate to have to redirect to YouTube for a better quality post processing, so here are two options:

1. YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OpaalHluCIo
2. Flickr: https://www.flickr.com/photos/iohannesii/52160347370/in/dateposted/

Flickr is mostly pics, and that shows how bad it is, when even an image gallery website does better than BitChute with post processing!

Back around 2003, I had gotten a jazz song book, partly because I was playing in a jazz combo, and partly because I wanted a way to study the chord progressions, as well as get better at writing lyrical themes and solos. This was one of the pieces that I worked on in a 2003 version of the Cakewalk studio, before they went on to relaunch their studio software under the Sonar brand. Anyways, I hadn't listened to any versions of this piece, so my interpretation was something of a slow jazz ballad. I've later come to hear various versions, both the lyrical and the instrumental, and, yeah, this interpretation is nothing like what the others sound like.

You see, The End of A Love Affair was written by Edward Redding in 1951, and was first performed by Margaret Whiting, which is also the first release of the song. You will notice if you hear it that it's much more upbeat, with a bossanova, somba sort of rhythm and feel to it. So yeah, this is probably the only version that is essentially a straight up jazz ballad. It kind of grew on me this way, and if you like it, smash the like button, as they say!

You can check out the original version of Edward Redding's classic sung by Margaret Whiting, among other wonderful performances done by many great jazz singers and instrumentalists here:

If they can't maintain my videos, despite that I've been with them since 2017, and have to keep re-uploading my videos for them to work for maybe a year at most before they stop working, then this is not a viable place to keep my videos. I need to know that a video I uploaded when I first started uploading on the site will be playable to this day and beyond. Otherwise, there's no point uploading to this site any more. It may be time to look for a better option if Bithchute is unable to keep videos from breaking every 6 months to a year.

This is a drum and bass version. Started off last night with plucking down the overdrive bass, and, while I liked the throttle of it, it made sense tonight to put it up an octave and to add a sub bass to help it have tone and rumble at the same time.

I wrote the drums and bass all on Cakewalk using the staff view. It isn't the best notation software out there, but it works well enough. Would like to see some updates to it so that it has more composition tools to work with, but, for some of the more finer tuning, I can always go back to Anvil, or maybe try Sibelius again. Though I might wait until I have enough money to update the laptop. It's getting to that 4 to 5 year mark, and part if the reason I quit using Sibelius was because its updates and general performance was having too many glitches, and I wasn't too happy with Anvil's support or payment system. Sadly, this Toshiba Satellite isn't quite as good as my previous one was, either. Might consider going back to HP. But, we'll see. Just depends on what laptop has the most optimal setup for the things I'd like to do with it.

A song created by Dutch producer DJ Jurgen in collaboration with Wessel van Diepen, Dennis van den Driesschen, Sebastiaan Molijn and Eelke Kalberg. It was initially released as an instrumental included vocals by Judith Pronk, who would later become a seminal part of the Alice Deejay project. It's one of the first trance songs I can remember listening to in the late 90's. Techno Pop was kind of inspired by this song, though there was a more direct inspiration that I may eventually post if I can find a MIDI for it.

This text-based visual novel adventure developed and published by Square in 1996 for the Japanese Super Famicom's Satellaview has only recently had an official release outside of Japan. On April 7, 2022 it was released as a bundle in Chrono Cross: The Radical Dreamers Edition. My particular interest is in the compositions by Yasunori Mitsuda. With MIDI files, soundfonts and VSTs, we can compare between chip tune sounds and other ways to orchestrate this song, as close to its original piece, to any sort of way you might want to re-arrange things. For now, I chose to compare the chiptune style as it might be heard on the SNES/Super Famicom, and then open it up to more realistic sounding instruments. If you want to hear just the orchestral version, you can skip to 2:40.

Andrew Lloyd Webber's 1986 rock opera that was a hit sensation on Broadway for nearly a decade. Many remember the old synth drums mixed in with classic orchestral instruments. Well, I decided to try and remaster a MIDI version with more modern synths to give an idea what it might sound like if made today. To top it off, why not the first ever tiger Phantom? More to come later with this fellow, and what leading lady might play Christine in the motion video to come.

Dark is the Night For All is off of A Ha's Memorial Beach album. It was said to be a dark period for the band. Even so, the instrumental is pretty easy to listen to, The original video for this song had some odd bondage things, as well as Morten Harket's face ripping through the skin of his abdomen. Apparently that was enough to get this version of the video banned. This upload has none of that. It's just an instrumental, well, two versions. The first uses the flute as the lyric instrument. I switched it to trombone because I felt that it was a better fit for a male voice. Plus I used to play trombone.

The title in Spanish is one I can't say, for I might be called racist just for using the work, though it be the word as it is in Spanish. Ironic, considering that the original poem, the song itself, and the movies that were inspired by the original poem all were created to speak out against racism. Contrary to the current year woke folk, the call to end racism didn't just happen in the current year.

The original inspiration for the song was the poem "Píntame Angelitos Negros," written by Andrés Eloy Blanco some time in the 1940's. Possibly the first rendition of the poem into music was the song "Angelitos Negros" by Manuel Álvarez "Maciste" Rentería. In 1948 was the first movie with the title and theme song mentioned above with Joselito Rodríguez as director and Pedro Infante singing and performing on piano. The 1970 version stars Manuel López Ochoa singing and performing on guitar, with Joselito Rodríguez as director once more. The song has been done by many different performers, with the poem being the inspiration of many other songs beyond just the Spanish language.

Yet another 1997 piece I remastered. Also another lyrical. This one needs much less explanation, and I'll keep you guessing on the pic. ;3

But here are the lyrics:

In comes the sun
to bring on all those summer days
the time when we first met

and under that sun
as friends we came to know
and so began our love
the time when we first met

Chorus 1:

Oh won't you take me away
to where the sun is bright and warm
to where the sand is light and soft
take me to where
there's music in the air

And on that night
that night when we first walked around
and saw our first moonlight

and on that summer's eve
we went to find ourseves
but as the night went on
we came to fall in love

Chorus 1

Chorus 2:

So won't you take me away
to where there's light in night and day
To where the Heaven's skies are never grey
Take me to where
there's music in the air

In comes the sun
to bring on all those summer days
the time when we first met

and under that sun
as friends we came to know
and so began our love
the time when we first kissed

Chorus 1

Chorus 2 {Repeat choruses until fade out)

This is one of my 1997 pieces. It was written after a friend had wound up in a tragic fight where he had gotten stabbed by a knife and died. Recent events led me to revisit this song and remaster it.

The original song was arranged with piano and drums. This one I gave the haunting melody to the flute, keeping it in its lower register, which sounds more somber. I especially like using the Cambridge concert flute soundfont. While I have newer VSTs, this particular virtual instrument has about the best expression I've heard in flute synths. For bass, I went with an acoustic style synth that is common in most, if not all GM soundfonts. Percussion is a mix of Sonatina Orchestra VST and Cakewalk's SI-Drum Kit VST set to the Hall Kit.

This song, titled Rob's Requiem, and initially Requiem for Rob is sung by his girlfriend Rachel. It could have also been known as Sunday Morning, due to intro melody. To tell you the truth, I still tear up when I listen to the song and go through the lyrics with the melody. I mean, she's at her most vulnerable point in her life thus far, and her boyfriend that was planning her life with can no longer be her forever lover, outside of soulmates in heaven, anyways. So a lot of these feelings come out in the lyrics, and can be heard in the melody even withot the lyrics. By now, you are probably wanting me to finally share the lyrics, so, here they are:

Alone, on a Sunday morning
I find myself mourning
the death of my childhood lover
the death of my man.

And alone, on this Sunday morning
I look in his coffin
to see the pale face of a man
who was once as strong as an ox
with ambition beyond that of most
within this town.

In the light of an hour
just past that flash of an eye
that was his life,
you will see an army of friends and associates
cry as the man in black sings
a pow'ring rendition of
Amazing Grace.

And I stand along, on a Sunday morning
where I find myself mourning
the death of my love.

And as I stand here alone
I wonder, just on a curious note,
Is he looking down upon me with his sad puppy dog eyes
as I cry, deep in my heart,
for the loss of his love.

For even our bad times
when our relations ran sour
could not keep my heart
hiding for long.

Lord, please forgive him,
as I forgive him.

For even as I stand here alone,
on a Sunday morning,
mourning the death of this man,
I love him so.

This piece was composed while relaxing at a local coffee shop. I couldn't go to work because there was an incident that happened at the store involving a shooter, leaving one person dead and another severely wounded, going through major surgery and is in ICU at the local hospital. The suspect was luckily apprehended, but there's still some sort of investigation and, well, clean up going on at the store, and much uncertainty when we'll be re-opening. So I sat down the rest of the afternoon at the coffee shop composing this, because, at least once use for music is that it's my therapy. It's a way to let out the things that are not easily said, but music needs no voice, unless you want to write lyrics. But for now, an instrumental in A-minor is well enough. A sad, melancholy sort if piece, but yet, still not giving up hope.

A more synth version.

As noted before, the song comes from the 1998 game Lotus Land Story by ZUN. This one followes the 2007 Nomico lyric version, just as the previous, but with the more synthetic sounding instruments, thus calling it electronica.

The "Hello World!" of the demo scene. Bad Apple has a unique history, for a song and video that's been just about everywhere and on all sorts of retro computers and devices. Not bad for a song from 1998 that was primarily meant to be a stage level chip tune theme for and old shoot 'em up called Lotus Land Story. Add to that, a version of the song in 2007 was arranged for vocals, first done by Nomico in Japanese. It's had quite a few English versions, most notably by singer and voice over actress Cristina Vee. There are two versions made by her, one that follows the Nomico version, and a metal version featuring RichaadEB on guitar. The metal version is my favorite, and you can check it out here:

The Midi I used for this version can be found here:

I intended to use more instruments, but Cakewalk didn't like running 20 + instruments, especially after truing to tweak them to remaster the volume. Even with the missing instruments I initially intended to have, It still came out pretty decent.

Another Cakewalk project I found that's been around a couple years. I extended the drone and added an 808 drum kit. Could make for nice atmosphere music for a dungeon or neon city slums in a game. Also reminds me of some of those old 80's computer shows.

I initially started the project for this song around 2018. Between being busy with work and the annoying Windows 10 updates that seem to like to put my MIDI files and Cakewalk projects in obscure places, it took until now to find this and attempt to update it. Between the new sections of music, the arranging of old parts with the composition of new parts, as well as remastering the VST and soundfonts used, I'd say it came out alright.

Starting the New Year off with some thunder. People that enjoy pounding percussion ought to like. This was also created with a 5/8 time signature. which gives it a rush feeling, much like the waves of the sea, or when quickly trying to row a boat.
