I am still feeling not so great, due to my sleeping rhythm being way out of whack for the past few days or so. However, I managed to snag a small victory, today! Form and groove was not the best; particularly on the last couple of reps, as I started to slip, and lose a bit of tightness, and the bar path was drifting badly. However, a PR is a PR! I think I could have even grinded out another rep or two, but due to my form breaking down so severely, and not wanting to push it too far, and given the fact that I am probably going to try and also do my squat session tomorrow as well, so I can get my schedule back to where it was, I figured it best to take the small win, and call it there.

I had to postpone my workout session yesterday, as I had to go to see Rammstein live. Unfortunate, but in the case of my favorite band, certainly an acceptable sacrifice. I ended up walking near 30 000 steps, did not eat very well, did not get home until early in the morning, and ended up not sleeping very well. However, I did not want to skip another day. I knew I was not going to do anything great today, but MAN, was this rough. I really should have just called it at five reps, but my ego in the heat of the moment got the best of me.

Not bad, not bad! It usually takes me a few days to get back in to the swing of things after a deload; so overall, I am happy with this. I think I could have grinded out a 9th rep, but the last couple were pretty slow, so I figured I would take the one rep PR, and call it there. It probably would have been a bit easier to do, if I did not have such pregnant pauses between reps. However, they seem to be really helping overall, so it is no big deal. Slow and steady! I hit the same amount of reps with 60 Kgs not too long ago, so I should definitely be able to hit 10 paused reps with this weight, soon. I think I am probably already capable of doing it on a better/more primed day. Getting VERY Close to my mini goal of 60 Kgs for 10! 🤟🏻

I managed to get a good quality night's sleep, so I was feeling pretty good. However, my last working set with 150 Kgs went TERRIBLY. I lost balance, and it felt way more difficult than it should have. Due to that, I was considering backing off. However, something inside me could not stomach taking a step backward. So I decided to go for the top set of 165Kgs which I have been stuck on four reps as my best, for a quite a while now. I figured I would at least try a single and see how it felt. If it felt good, I would try and push it, if not, I would perhaps try to go for something else. So I flicked on my favorite band, got in the zone, and got to work. Sure enough, the reps felt GREAT! Once I hit that third one, I felt pretty confident I could push to five. I could have maybe grinded another rep at the time as well, but I was not going to go any higher than five today, regardless. Overall, a great week, and an awesome end to this cycle! Now for a deload, and then FORWARD! 🤟🏻

As soon as I heard the news break, I felt I just had to make a quick bit of commentary on this. I was at work, so I had to keep it down a little, haha. This is a big, historical moment, and hopefully another monumental sign of a cultural turning point. However, there are some things that I believe we will need to take in to consideration in light of this event, moving forward.

Despite feeling very tired from the fatigue setting in, and the weights feeling heavier than usual, I hit my high end goal/cap for today, so I am very happy! I MAAAAAAAAAYBE could have grinded out one more, but that was a BIG if, and I want to try and save all I have left for squats tomorrow. Still, this is VERY encouraging that I was able to hit this (only one rep behind my Touch N' Go record) while feeling so low, and run down. This upcoming deload will be well earned! 🤟🏻

I think I had about 1-2 hours of actual sleep last night. So naturally, the weight felt heavier than usual. I just got myself some ammonia recently, so I figured I would give it a try today; since I was sleep deprived. I was a bit underwhelmed by it to be honest, hahaha. I was expecting a bigger kick from it, but did not get much out of it, in the moment. Perhaps I did not use it quite right, and/or the brand I got is just not that potent, haha. I don't want to use it too often, and get overly reliant on it. Only if I am doing a high effort set/PR or 1RM attempt, and in combination with low energy. Despite being at a disadvantage, I still managed to hit a rep PR! I was a bit off balance for the first couple reps, due to the bar being a bit unevenly positioned, and my imbalanced, scoliosis ass. I sincerely thought I got seven reps, which was why I was so hyped at the end, but upon reviewing the footage, I realized I got six. Perhaps the ammonia affected me more than I thought it did after all, hahaha.

Despite the fatigue starting to set in, the weights feeling heavier than usual, and totally BOTCHING the unracking for this set, due to rushing to stay in time with the song, the set went okay! I was not going to go for more than five reps, to try and save energy for the rest of the workouts this week. Despite all the aforementioned factors, I think I still had at least one more rep in me, maybe even two, for an absolute grinder. Overall, not bad. I hit what I wanted to hit today 🤟🏻

My body just couldn't get with the program, today. I felt pretty good, but my form just felt off. I was trying to use a bit more forward lean, and I was wearing different shorts today than I usually do for squatting, so that could have been at least part of the reason, because I am a supreme autist in that way, in that any tiny little thing can throw me off, hahaha. The fabric in my shorts stretched a bit on that first rep, which you can hear, which threw me off as well, hahaha. Despite all of this, I was determined to hit six reps, which I believe is a rep PR with this weight. Ultimately not super impressive, as I have hit I believe 7 or 8 with 162.5, but a record is a record.

I wanted to get at least six reps today, so I am very happy that I was able to eek out 8. I don't think I had any reps in reserve here though, haha. A bit reckless, perhaps, but I got to six fairly easily, and I thought it would be awesome to match my previous rep total of eight with this weight with Touch N' Go. So this is hopefully a good sign that my overall pressing strength is increasing. I think I could have done a bit better on this set, as I think I slightly fell out of my groove on the last few reps, which made the weight feel heavier. However; overall, this was a great day! 🤟🏻

Not bad, I suppose. My goal was to go for six reps, double the minimum prescribed rep count, and call it there. I am really trying to focus in on maintaining the slack pull on the bar as I initiate the pull, as I believe I am loosening on this right beforehand. I am also tring to focus on creating and maintaining a better, and more consistent starting position with each rep. The first three reps flhere felt really good, and moved quite quickly. However, I started to hesitate afterwards, worrying about these ques, and second guessing myself, forcing me to take more time, and lose power, so the rest of the reps definitely felt more draining, and slower because of it. I think I could have still grinded out two or so reps, but I figured there was no point in doing so, and I set a hard cap at six. I am hoping to save enough energy to be able to hit at least five reps with 170 Kgs, next week 🤟🏻

My high end goal was to hit six reps, thus doubling this week's minimum prescribed rep count, and also surpassing my previous Strict performance by one rep. However, the weight moved so easily, and before I knew it, I had already hit six! So I decided why not match my current rep PR with touch and go reps? And I DID! I really should have called it there, but I also felt like I could have grinded out one more, which would be an all time PR. So in the heat of the moment, I felt that I did not want to leave it on the table, and later think about what could have been. So I WENT FOR IT. Perhaps not the smartest idea in terms of managing fatigue; and it turned out to be one of the grindiest OHP reps of my life, hahaha. However, sometimes you just got to say "what the hell?" and go for it! Besides, I am planning on taking a deload after this cycle, anyway. Overall, I am super happy with today's results! 60 Kgs x 10 is CLOSING IN! 🤟🏻

I was feeling pretty run down today. Hectic week has been catching up to me! Humid as hell, too. The weight felt heavier than usual, and the reps were a lot slower, and grindier. I didn't want to push it too hard, given my performance; do I did enough reps to make it fairly challenging, but not completely wreck me, fatigue wise.

I wanted to use some more weight for my dumbell upright rowing, but I don't have any more small plates. So I decided to try slapping on some of my bigger five kilo plates on in between the smaller ones, and it worked decently well, all things considered. However, I couldn't get over the fact that all I could see was a TIE Fighter, because I am a Star Wars fan, hahaha. So I decided I just HAD to blast TIE Fighter Attack while rowing, and I figured I would record a set for the heck of it, hahaha.

The 87.5 Kgs x 10 set felt easy enough, so I thought I would try to get a bit more volume in; especially since I felt I rushed a couple or so of the reps, previously. Holy hell, the unracking felt heavy as hell, haha. Usually a surefire sign that I am feeling fatigued. The set went okay, though. I think I had at least one more rep left in reserve. So that bodes well for this weight, next week 🤟🏻.

I wasn't feeling all that great today, and life stuff was forcing me to rush through this, a bit. I think I ended up doing a couple or so of the reps just a liiiittle too quick for my liking, but it is what it is. I just sometimes get caught in the heat of the moment, and end up being a tad speedier than I want to be, haha. Speakers cut out too, which also sucked. Overall though, I am satisfied with the performance. Ten reps was the absolute max I was hoping for, and I think I still had at least one rep, maaaybe even two left in the tank.

Today has been overall a very hectic, and inopportune day for training. Humid as hell, resulting in me sweating like a pig. I didn't get as much sleep as I would have liked, due to life complications, so I was feeling pretty tired, and not strong at all, today. The weight didn't feel heavy necessarily, but my body and my mind was just not on it, today, and my muscle connections/ques were just non-existent; resulting in the weight moving slower. I was also expecting an appointment with an airco worker any moment, as he was supposed to come earlier, but due to rescheduling, he was slated to come during when I am usually busy with my workout, so I had to quickly rush, to get it done in time. I also forgot to put my belt on, during my last warm up set, which probably didn't me any favors. I very nearly almost forgot to put on my belt AGAIN, during this set, too. And on top of THAT, I forgot to warm up my lats, so I put the lat pulldown bar up quickly to do some quick reps, to try and warm them up a bit. HOWEVER, I forgot to remove it afterwards, forcing it to bonk against my head, after every. Damn. Rep. Despite EVERYTHING, the set actually felt pretty fine, surprisingly. I was only going to go for five, but it felt easy enough, that I thought I would do one more. I think I still had another 3 or 4 reps in the tank, at least, so that's a good sign. My previous best is 10 reps with this weight, I believe, but I was not going to go anywhere near that, due to how I was feeling, and not to overtax myself. A crap, and unlucky day, but I got the work in, and that's what matters 🤟🏻.

My goal/hard cap was at five or six reps, but the weight moved easily enough, that I thought I would match the reps that I did in last month's cycle, with 55 Kgs. Not bad! I think I still had another rep in the tank, that I could have grinded out, as well. That would put me at just one rep under my previous best of 9 reps with regular/touch n' go. Nice start to the cycle! 🤟🏻

I had to go in to work really early today for a meeting, so I couldn't do my workout at home, today. The meeting also ended up taking a lot longer than I was expecting, so I ended up being pressed for time, then I had to WAIT and WAIT for the rack to become available. Despite all the setbacks, I was determined to get my work in, hell or high-water! I am not a fan of this rack at all, unfortunately. The uprights are awkward, and it feels super sketchy unracking the weight, and was really easy to lose balance, so I had to be very slow and deliberate with the unracking and walkout. This isn't a PR, as my previous record is five reps, but due to all of the aforementioned factors, I was not planning on going for one, anyway. I think if this were a regular day, and I was able to do this at home, I could have done a lot better. Oh well. No big deal.

Not too shabby! My energy dwindled a bit by the time I got to my last sets, due to taking longer than planned. However, my high end goal was five to six reps, and this is actually only one rep under my previous touch n' go performance, with the weight. So overall, I am happy!

The deadlifts were feelin' pretty good, today! I lost a lot of energy between my last two sets however; due to other complications, and things going wrong, thus the time in between took longer than I wanted to, so I lost some of my energy/mojo. The set would have been easier I think, if it were not for that, as my warmups were feelin' eaaaassy. I was originally going to just do a simple set of 5 reps, but then I remembered that my previous rep PR with this weight was five, so I figured I would take advantage of me feeling pretty good, and snag the easy PR; as I was 110 % confident I could hit it. I think I had at least a couple or more reps in the tank, too. I am also experimenting with a slightly wider grip, so we will see how that goes, as well.

I did not have that good of a night of sleep, and I simply was not feeling all that strong, or energetic today. However, that is not going to stop me from GRINDIN,' and reaching my goals! So I took a shot of honey, blasted some old-school Suicide Silence, and KILLED IT. The unracking was a little off, but I managed to recover quickly, and not let it impact the set too much. My hard cap/high-end goal for today was five reps; which I managed to do with maybe still another rep in the tank. My best rep count with non paused reps with 60 Kgs is 7, so this is not far off, at all! And those were PREGNANT, deliberate pauses I did. PLUS, given the fact that on top of that, I was not feeling the best today, is VERY encouraging. One of my mini goals is to be able to hit 60 Kgs for 10 reps on OHP, so it looks like it is getting closer, and closer! 🤟🏻

Having gone to public gyms a lot in my time, and now also working at one, I see this ALL THE TIME. It is an absolute PLAGUE. It is simply bad etiquette, and a testament to how most people today seem to have no sense of compassion or responsibility in public spaces, and in respect to others who use use it; as they just expect others to deal with it, and clean it up in their wake. LIKE CHILDREN.
DO. NOT. BE. THIS. PERSON!
Pick up your shit. Cultivate good habits. The more people do this, the better our everyday environments become.
