The next circle of Hell I ventured into was Greed. Fittingly a lot of the monsters you encounter here have the ability to steal your buffs, so prioritising pure damage, armour and heal cards is essential when building your deck. The new Character Development Node is incredibly useful throughout the journey. You can spend soulshards in it for some permanent upgrades to your health, damage and other skills. It basically makes the card ship obsolete since your money is much better spent here. The boss of this circle is Moloch. I really like his design here - a Minotaur who has children locked away in his belly. He starts the battle with 5 Shielded, 5 Counter and 5 Rage and a lot of his cards sacrifice one of those for massive damage. When you redraw he gains 1 Counter and 1 Shielded. The key here is to be shielded when you activate any of his sacrifice cards or alternatively trigger them when he doesn't have the corresponding buff. Depleting shielded and Counters with small multi-hit attacks is the way to go and having the armour to absorb the damage helps, but unless you have some fancy card there's no way to erase the Rage.

When I defeated him I went back to Nadir and bought the Gardens of Desire which unlocks the next circle of Hell - Lust. I also purchased more cards for Jeanne (who is my main and only character) and more damned to fight against - not really sure if the latter is useful aside from giving you a bigger variety of enemies.

I decided to try the DLC levels for Ecchi Paradise since I enjoyed the core gameplay (plus they were quite cheap). They are mostly fantasy can sci-fi themed. The art is still pretty good, but I didn't liked the designs of some of the cyberpunk women. It's a matter of taste, I guess.

Evolved the Needle to the Crystal Needle ability. This one leaves a trail of crystals as you roll around, plus it will throw a couple of crystals in addition to any objects stuck to you. I completed the associated challenge, which wasn't too difficult and earned me a rare stone.

Then I continued clearing missions. The boss battle against Sillydillo had the usual time and no-hit ones. The latter was slightly tricky since his rolling and dancing attacks are a bit difficult to dodge, but the Morpho sword is your friend - both for its long dash and ranged attack when at full health (this is also an easy way to track if you've been hit). I found out that you can block the puppets he throws at you, but most his other attacks will do chip damage.

I found the Buzz-Saw Cutter blueprint in the Searching the Oasis level - it was ridiculously well hidden and very easy to miss. I didn't have enough rare stones to evolve it, so I had to grind the Coliseum to obtain them yet again. The Cutter isn't a great power in general, but at least this was the last Copy Ability that I needed to evolve. The blacksmith rewarded me with a special figure of himself for achieving that. The Buzz-Saw looks really funny as a hat and its blades can bounce off walls, which is what the challenge was about - hit tricky switches from afar. Finishing this Treasure Road rewarded me with yet another special figure since it was the last one.

The Enter the Fiery Forbidden Lands stage had an annoying mission where you have to use the water balloon Kirby to extinguish 7 falling lava balls, which means you have to be precise and quick as you only get one chance to do that before having to replay the level.

The new run I did was more successful. First I picked a different avatar (costume) the Sub Zero Knight Noah, which slightly reduces skill cooldown and boosts the 2nd, 3rd and 4th Lilliput attacks. During the run I picked up the 3-star Goddess Amelie and put her in the special move slot. She summons a stream of tornadoes covering a fourth of the screen, thus being extremely useful when facing a group of enemies. This time I managed to beat the Titan boss since I was familiar with his attack patterns. Still he does a ton of damage, so a simple mistake can cost you a third of your health. Upon its defeat, Noah learns that the Sephiroth-looking strange is called Greigh and he told our heroine that her father is dead. Zipper consoled her that he's probably lying and the duo proceeded to chasing the villain. Unfortunately the battle with the Titan left me at low health, so I died shortly after starting the next level.

This gave me an opportunity to use the gathered mana. I bought the Potion Cache upgrade, which gives you the opportunity to replenish your potions at the start of each level increasing survivability. If I had this I wouldn't have died so easily on my previous run. I also increased the damaged I dealt and got the Aether Thrust - a directed dash used for platforming and chasing down enemies.

I then started another run which was going much smoother. Now the fight against the Titan was pretty easy. The Winding Caverns stages definitely felt more challenging with shielded enemies and healers preventing your progress. Halfway through Noah finds a witch's diary. She was apparently the creator of the ruins and somehow related to Zipper. Later on Noah treated the ungrateful cat to a meal and then was attacked by a boss monster - Jack. It is using air magic and dashes around really fast. When you defeat if Greigh appears again and reveals that the ruins are some sort of a doomsday weapon and Zipper is the key to activating it. The cat has an existential crisis, but Noah snaps him back to reality and their relationship gets better. After a couple of levels Greigh appears again and summons a new boss monster for you to deal with. Fang is a giant fire-breathing lion. It dashes between different platforms, so the best strategy I found was to not be on its level and attack it from below. Unfortunately it also spits fireballs and one such was my demise.

When I died this time Zipper came back with me. You can now give him the gifts you collect during the run for him to give you gold and Lilliputs in your subsequent run. I think that those are better spent on upgrading you favourite Lilliputs instead. Using the mana I unlocked the Goblet giving you a free accessory when you start your adventure. I also increased the number of potions Noah can carry and their efficiency. Plus I upgraded the damage dealt, which is always useful.

Developed the Cool Lady outfit for Darkness including the special material. The effect of the clothes was that the pervy crusader became popular with men, which was embarrassing for her. Even Kazuma fell for her charm until her masochism snapped him out of it.

The Cute Maiden dress for Yunyun turned her into a maid from those fetish cafes. She was justifiably embarrassed and I have to admit - I find those pretty cringe, but at least the outfit is cute. Kazuma manipulated her with the usual friend spiel, but then he felt bad about it. This unlocked the Guild Filing job giving you Black Ink.

I made Yunyun's Easygoing Uniform again, but this time with the special material giving you more dialogue - mainly Yunyun cutely sneezing. Kazuma perved on her for a bit, but her innocence disarmed his lust. This unlocks the bartending job giving you Quality Cloth and Silver Tray materials.

Aqua's Graveyard Duty triggered a new scene where she explained to Kazuma how she's tasked to purify souls, which is noble of her, but due to her obnoxious behaviour Kazuma disappeared with his conceal ability to play a prank on her.

The Cute Lady outfit for Yunyun (with the special material) turns her into a manipulative girl who is playing innocent, but demands Kazuma pay her money for looking at her feet and chest. It was pretty terrifying to witness.

The last remaining costume for Yunyun was the Swimsuit Y. Despite it being pretty sexy the interaction with Kazuma was quite wholesome (well, mostly). He took her to the lake to try it on and they ended up playing in the water, making Yunyun very happy to be with a friend. Kazuma tried his best not to look at her with lewd eyes, but ultimately failed. Then he encouraged her to gather the confidence to speak up for herself and tell him to stop. This is why Kazuma is the best character of the show - he's pervy, but underneath it all he's a good guy.

With a few days left for the final mission I created Pajama Party for Sena. She ordered it to help her relax, but when Kazuma tried to make sure it's effective her awful personality kicked in and she constantly threatened him. No wonder she's single despite her looks. This dress unlocks the Milk Carton Folding job giving you Quality Paper and Aqua's Special Mix.

Another dress for Sena is the Sexy Cheongsam. Kazuma convinced her to wear it with some lies about her heart being beautiful, but it did get results. Sena was embarrassed from all the attention and tried to hide behind Kazuma who felt nice protecting her, but of course she chewed him out for his efforts. This game really made Sena seem much more unlikable than in the show. Guild Sorting is unlocked for the creation of this outfit.

The last outfit I created before the story one was Cute and Small for Megumin. Kazuma convinced her to play the role of his little sister, which is a pretty weird fetish from anime. This makes the Board Game Flyering job available.

Creating the Berkserk Ira had things play out like last time including Darkness' slime reward. When she wore the bikini armour I tried to choose different answers to get a different ending, but instead I got nothing, not even the normal Darkness ending. I was honestly confused as to why I didn't get the Yunyun ending given that I made all her outfits. I guess the affection with Darkness was higher, but I have no idea how to get different endings.

This time around I finally picked the Wrath path. In general the enemies here appropriately gain Rage rather quickly, so they deal tons of damage if allowed. Shielding myself was a good strategy. Eventually I reached Abaddon - the boss of this circle of Hell. He starts the battle with 10 Martyr points. Each time you deal damage to him he gains 1 Rage. When you redraw he gains 1 Martyr point and erases your highest buff, meaning that his attacks quickly grew insanely powerful, so me activating a single one of his cards would kill me and you can't really protect yourself with Shields. I had to resort to a cheesy strategy of only using my Stealth cards and redrawing until he was dead. It was a gruelling fight, but a win is a win. Back at Nadir I finally got resources to construct some new buildings, mainly the Throne of Want which unlocks the Character Development Node in expeditions and the Cursed Treasury giving me access to the Greed circle.

Ecchi Paradise is another one of those lewd sliding puzzle games. Here when you put a piece in the correct place it gets embedded there, making things go smoother as you progress in the level. The art is pretty good, but there's definitely some AI generation being used. No nudity in this game. There's also plenty of content for the price - they still do the Day-1 DLC bullshit, but here it's not as outrageous since there are a lot of levels in the main game. All things considered this is one of the better games of this type on the Switch.

Did a couple of runs in the Coliseum to grind for upgrade crystals. This seems the only place left where I can get those. One oversight in the game design is that the Meta Knight Cup and the Ultimate Cup both give you just 1 rare stone, meaning that it's much easier to grind the former if you don't care about gold, which can be obtained as you play the regular levels. I got more used to using the Morpho sword, which is by far the best weapon in the game when you have full health.

I got cocky and decided to try the Ultimate Z Cup. I reached Chaos Elfilis without much issue (although some of the bosses were challenging) and this time around I survived long enough to see what his sphere form can do. Both times I tried this it caught me off guard with its suction draining my health and leaving the Morpho sword without projectiles. Then it would shoot some pretty fast lasers at you, but jumping over them is the way to go. Then it transforms into a flaming comet and crashes into you dealing massive damage. I had to stop playing, but I was disappointed to realise that when you quit the challenge you don't get any of the rewards you previously earned. Next time I try this I will be more prepared complete with damage and speed boosts and a healing item.

Little Noah: Scion of Paradise is a 2D action rogue-lite game. You play as Noah Little - an alchemist who is on search for her father. Her airship crashes in some mysterious ruins where she meets a talking cat, who is their guardian. The ruins were attacked by an evil Sephiroth-looking fellow who wants to use them for his no-good purposes.

In terms of gameplay Noah can collect Lilliputs - creatures who do he bidding and are incorporated in combos. Each Lilliput is part of the string or you can put it in the special move slot where it will perform a different attack. Special moves are powerful and require cooldown. It's a very interesting system, which somewhat reminds me of Ender Lillies (although this game may be older). There's also the Avatar Burst, which is a super move filled as you fight enemies. In the levels themselves you can find artefacts and crystals increasing your abilities. With the gold you get from chests, enemies and destructible objects you can go to a shop to purchase different artefacts or Lilliputs. One thing to note is that you can teleport to any part of the stage that you have previously been to and do so instantaneously making exploration more smooth. That being said once you exit a gate and move on to the next node you can no longer go back.

I made some progress and even defeated the first boss, but the second one got me - the Titan does tons of damage and it can kill you in 4-5 hits. When I died all the Lilliputs and artefacts I found got converted to mana, which is the currency used to repair Noah's ship giving you permanent upgrades. At the airship you can change your costume giving you different boosts and abilities, bond with your Lilliputs by giving them gifts (the chests you collect during the exploration) and place statues giving you more permanent stat upgrades. I unlocked a chicken, which gives you 500 gold before you start each adventure. I also got the ability to use potions and activate different effects at the gates, as well as an attack boost.

Kazuma and co joined Darkness on her weird quest to be ravaged by slimes. They eventually find one, but it was too weak to melt Darkness' armour and it was just able to dissolve her underwear. Once this charade became too much for Kazuma he instructed Yunyun to defeat the slime. Kazuma then created one final costume to satisfy Darkness' perversion - a bikini armour, in which she can feel the pain of the slime. She refused to wear it because her stupid fantasy wanted her clothes to be melted against her will. Meanwhile all the other girls called Kazuma a weirdo. This is when more slimes attacked our heroes, got Kazuma and molested him, because they only go after men. Poor dude was traumatised and back at home Darkness wore the bikini armour as an apology to him. She was prepared to be humiliated to atone for her actions, but then again she enjoys this type of shit.

Then Aqua in her infinite stupidity saw that and spread the word in the tavern. Kazuma was understandably pissed and scolded her wanting to protect Darkness' honour (not that there's much of that). His worries were wasted, since Darkness actually enjoyed that humiliation and was happy that Kazuma put her through this. She even started fantasising about future indignities he'll force her into. In a way she's the only one in the party who appreciates Kazuma, but for the wrong reasons.

Apparently this was Darkness' normal ending. I decided to tart a New Game and to my massive disappointment I realised that all the jobs I've unlocked by constructing different dresses are locked again. This means that if I need a specific material from them, I'll have to build the corresponding costume again. At least this time it's going faster since I skip all the scenes I've already seen. I also tested what would happen if you don't create the quest dress at the end of the period and you just get a small ending where Kazuma and his party flee Axel. I'll try to get a special ending for Darkness, which I presume means picking all of her events. A new one I saw was her fawning over armour, while also fantasising about it being broken off of her bit by bit.

Violet Wisteria is a 2D action platformer. You play as Wisteria (weird name) who has to defend her world against an invading monster horde. The controls are pretty simple - you get a jump button, which can be transformed into a slide on the ground and 3 types of attacks, each marked by a colour - blue, red and white. The gimmick of the game is that enemies can only be killed by a specific colour attack. Blue enemies are vulnerable to red, red to white and white to blue. If you hit an enemy or a platform with the same colour attack you will bounce off, which is used for platforming. This all sounds good on paper, but the execution here is terrible making the game a frustrating mess. There is a noticeable input delay, especially for the jumps, so you have to press the button slightly before you intend to. Then the whole colour-coded enemies thing is an issue, because not all enemies are single colour, so you have to look for the hint above them or simply guess. If you happen to get it wrong you either do no damage and likely take some yourself due to the limited range of Wisteria's sword or shoot yourself into other enemies or into a pit of death. You can use magic with each colour giving you some projectiles, but using them reduces your time and when that is over you lose a life, so they are practically useless.

After reaching the first boss - a two-faced floating head shooting projectiles at you - and failing, I swallowed my pride and reduced the difficulty, to the easiest one. This gave me some extra hearts and continues to work with, but the levels and enemies remained the same. With perseverance I managed to beat the first boss, but the second level was even worse. You are in some nightmare realm, where they introduce these transparent platforms, which you sink into making your jumps heavier and trickier to perform. As if the platforming of this game wasn't hard enough. Throw in some enemies while you are doing that and you have a recipe for disaster. I died a ton, but thankfully there is a level select and you can start from this stage if you lose all your lives. The boss here is a 3-headed dragon, which is surprisingly easy compared to what you had to deal with so far. You basically kill the heads one at a time with the correct attack while avoiding some random projectiles.

The next level was even worse. After a gimmick free-fall bit you land in what I presume to be the Apocalypse since fire is raining from the sky. A terrible new type of enemy is this demonic dog which runs towards you. You barely have time to react to it and it takes several hits before it dies. If 2 of them are running together, they are essentially immortal since your attack will be cancelled regardless of the colour. I got frustrated and decided to quit the game.

Violet Wisteria has an interesting concept, but it's a frustrating mess. The controls are sluggish, the combat mechanics turn into an unfair quick time event where you are not 100% sure which button to press and the difficulty and randomness of the enemies is downright sadistic. I'm not going to torture myself to finish this game and I advise you avoid it for your own sanity.

Got the newly added spirits from Princess Peach Showtime and Super Mario Bros Wonder. Swordfighter Peach was just a fight against Lucina, which makes sense, but the Peach & Stella spirit had an interesting battle, where different assist trophies would appear corresponding to Peach's costumes in her game. Elephant Mario was just a giant Mario battle.

I thought that I selected the newly unlocked Wrath circle of hell, but then when I reached the boss I fought Beelzebub again. I thought that I had mis-selected, but on the second run this happened again. At this point I was thinking that to get to Wrath I need to go through Gluttony every time, so I continued the game after defeating the boss, but the Gluttony circle seem to have looped. Upon returning to Nadir I figured out that you first have to select the circle of Hell with the A button and THEN press proceed with Y. The UI here is horrific, so I'm somewhat excused for my mistake. Next time I'll move on to Wrath.

Mystic Forest Plus had a couple of fiddly levels where it was hard to keep the mini-Mario alive since you had to avoid projectiles and enemies. The Donkey Kong fight here is fairly simple - you are on conveyor belts and have to hit him with the Bob-oms. The trick is to do it quickly by picking one up and jumping straight up until you are in range to hit him.

Twilight City plus wasn't that challenging but solving the puzzle of the last level requires some precise timing for the button presses. Here DK just presses a button which flips the direction of the conveyor belts and you have to make sure that the Bob-omb is going in the right direction by pressing the buttons on your side when necessary. This battle is identical to the regular version, but the pace of the button presses and the lasers is faster.

They you see a cutscene of DK picking up the remaining mini-Marios and you are dropped straight into a new boss battle. Here DK pulled a giant robot out of his ass and uses its hands to try to squish you. You have to climb on top of the hands and once he raises them be on the platforms above to pick up a barrel. You have to hit DK 7 times and you win. It's not too difficult, but you need to utilise the double jump properly to make your life easier. In a rather adorable ending Mario gives DK a mini-Mario to cheer him up.

Mario Vs Donkey Kong is a fun puzzle game. It's not too challenging, but the limited mobility may throw off people who are used to Mario's regular platforming. It's best played for short periods at a time and it's quite good for kids.

Continued to gather the missing Waddle Dees. One challenge which gave me some trouble was in The Battle of Blizzard Bridge level where I had to beat 2 Wild Frosties without getting hit. It's challenging to keep track of both of their attacks. They are also quite fast. First thing to watch out for is the charge - it's best to wait near a wall, otherwise they can change directions even after you dodge it. Then it's the body slam, being a bit unpredictable. After that is done, it's a good opportunity to deal damage, but you have too keep an eye on the other Frosty. When he starts throwing snowballs you can use the other one's body as a shield while dealing damage. Usually the no-damage challenges can be easy with the ice power since its block is invulnerable, but the Frosty has a move which grabs you and is unblockable, so I decided to go with the dragon fire, which is killing them faster. Their giant snowball leaves a trail of ice behind, so making it in a pattern which you can escape is essential. With all that said, it does take a bit of luck. It's annoying that they are the last boss in the level, so every time you fail you have to start from the beginning again. Eventually I got annoyed and took an attack boost potion to kill them faster, so that they have less opportunities to bust out one of their random attacks. This worked. One thing to mention is that this level has a hidden path where you climb on top of the bridge and then you have to fight a twin version of all the bosses you normally do. They are also tougher and sometimes there are canons shooting at you. I advise against trying to do this challenge via the secret path - it takes way longer and it's much harder. The King Dedede no-damage challenge was significantly easier, but the damage potion was still useful (plus it also helps for the time challenge).

In The Wastes Where Life Began level I found the Crystal Needle blueprint, but I didn't have enough rare stones to evolve it and do the corresponding challenge, so I went to the Coliseum to grind some. Here I realised that the upgraded sleep power can give you a double health bar as well as a damage boost of 200 seconds. I also realised that the Time Crash is useless against bosses - unlike the regular Crash its explosion doesn't do any damage.

Created the Sweet Honey outfit for Darkness using the special material, which basically emulates a couple where the girl is wearing the boy's shirt as a way to flirt. This unlocked a new job - sword polishing.

Giving Aqua the fake flower selling job triggers an event where she is too attached to the merchandise to sell it, which is somewhat adorable, but also stupid.

Pure Princess is a posh lady dress for Darkness, which she reluctantly wore and was embarrassed at first, but then she started behaving like an upper-class woman, which was fun to see. This unlocked the Butlering job.

A new costume for Chris was the Pure One-Piece developed with the special material. This made her act like a child and the whole interaction was pretty awkward. At the end she revealed she was faking it to prove she can act refined, which is somewhat weird. This gives you access to the Church Cleaning job.

Swimsuit D is what the name says - a swimsuit for Darkness. Kazuma tricks her to wear it and then gets a good stare at her boobs. This unlocks the Armour Repairing job.

The time finally came for the story progression dress for the noble - the Berserk Ira. The real culprit sneaks into the house of our party and is promptly captured. When they create the necessary clothing, it turns out to be armour which fuels anger and it's pretty much and automaton. Our heroes can't stop it, so Darkness devises a plant to wear it and lead it out of town where Megumin can destroy it with an Explosion. It turns out that this was part of the culprit's plan so that the armour can be controlled. He reveals that he wants revenge on the noble, who took his fiancee. Kazuma manages to be the hero and uses Steal to put on the armour himself, which kills him and he meet Eris in the afterlife before he's resurrected. It turns out that the culprit was a servant of the noble who got cursed by the slab to hate him. The noble apparently imprisoned the witch, who was the creator of the slab, but she never revealed how to use it and cursed it as an insurance, so that it can be returned to her family. Honestly this is very convoluted and it doesn't explain why the cursed servant targeted Kazuma's party or why Vanir knew the recipes for the different clothes.

In any case, now free of blame our heroes got to rest and Darkness earned a special reward for bearing the armour - she wanted to take a slime quest to satisfy her perversion.

Tried the demo for Princess Peach Showtime. The story is pretty straightforward - princess Peach is invited to go to a theatre, when it's attacked by a masked witch. Now our heroine is trapped inside and joins forces with a star named Stella (appropriate) to free the place from the masked creatures' invasion. Peach receives a magical ribbon, which is her main weapon and way of interacting with the different items in the environment. The levels are 2.5D and are set up like decors at a play. This reminds me of Puppeteer on the PS3, but not as creative. In the levels you can collect gems and gold, but I'm not sure what those are used for since the demo never clarified. There's also one hidden ribbon in each level. The controls are pretty simple - attack and jump. Eventually Peach gets the Swordfighter costume, which can attack with a sword, but things don't get more complicated from an upwards rising attack. If you press the jump as an enemy attacks you, you can counter. You have to use this move to defeat larger foes and the boss of the stage - a giant plant.

In the next level Peach gets the Patissiere costume. It doesn't have any special abilities, but the stage has a bunch of cooking based minigames. One was baking cookies and putting them on trays. Here you have to stop mixing at the right moment to get more. It takes a few tries to get used to the timing, but it's nothing too difficult. Next was decorating cakes with cream, where you have to follow certain patterns. Even if you put cream where it doesn't belong, it will be fine as long as you complete the required shape.

This seems like a decent game for kids, but it may be a bit too simplistic for me.

Much like the first game Beauties Unveiled 2 is an image revealing game, where you need to reach a certain percentage by drawing a line and connecting it back to the outer wall with your marker. By the looks of it all the mechanics and enemies are the same as the first game, but the controls don't feel as slippery and the levels are better designed. Maybe I've just gotten better at the game, but this one felt more smooth. Each girl has 3 pictures forming a small mini-story, which is a nice touch. The art in general is great, but no nudity in this one. They have done the cut content DLC tactic again and I'm not bothering with the extra levels. Between the 2 games, this one is definitely better. It isn't particularly lewd, but the gameplay is solid.

Did another run of Gluttony and this time it went better. I got a stealth heal card near the start which made recovery a lot smoother, especially combined with the 10HP heal you get after each step. This made me realise the importance of the Redraw function - you get all delayed effects like the above mentioned heal and you get a 3 new cards while the ones your opponent has are flipped. You can utilise this to avoid the reaction when you are about to fill all the slots, but keep in mind that some enemies have a constant redraw effect, which can be a problem if you do it too much. This time around I reached the boss of Gluttony - Beelzebub. His cards applied a lot of debuffs like Decay (taking damage every time you play a card), Bleed (taking piercing damage every turn) and Rust (reduce your armour every turn).

Defeating Beelzebub unlocked a new Circle of Hell - Wrath and the Exalted Crypt for purchase at Nadir, which unlocks a new node - the Damned Reward - it gives you an option to choose one soul with a bonus in combat like gaining Counter or Precise at the start of the battle. I even saw this when I started a run, but I had to cut it short.

Merry Mini-Land Plus had a lot of the wind streams and this time around you had to guide the mini-Mario with them. This culminated in a fight against Donkey Kong, where you have to utilise the streams to send a barrel at him. This one was pretty tricky since he switches the colours rather quickly and I ran out of time once.

Spooky House Plus had a lot of situations where you had to freeze the shy guys to create a path for mini-Mario, which can be fiddly. The boss battle with DK was in a similar vein - you wait for him to ground one of the Shy-ghosts, then pick it up and use it as a weapon, while avoiding the falling spikes. There is a bit of randomness giving their movement patterns, but once you get into a good rhythm it can go smoothly.

The frozen levels of Slippery Summit Plus had me stumped a couple of times because I forgot to utilise the momentum on the ice by crouching and passing through tighter spaces. This is the same for objects and mini-Mario. The encounter with DK is pretty similar to the easier version of this world, but there are extra icicles falling from the ceiling.

The Duskstar (clever) is filled with Star Wars references up the butt. It's has multiple elevators and a couple of zero gravity zones. In fact I accidentally completed the level by getting the wrong (or right) elevator, when I wanted to explore a bit more.

What follows is the final level of the game - Cruel Dude Thesis. You go down to a room which fills all your ammo and then you enter a huge arena designed for boss battles. First on the chopping block is the Other Dude you've been following the entire game. He has some of your weapons, mainly the shotgun and the rocket launcher. He constantly jumps around, so he's tricky to hit, but when I used one of those time-slowing pills I melted his health. When you beat him the next opponent appears - the Tesloborgelion. That abomination of a name got a chuckle out of me. This huge robot is invincible until you reveal its weak spots by using the grappling hook on the shotgun. The can be somewhat tricky to target since the robot is constantly moving around and targeting you. It will shoot a minigun at you, charge with its scissor-hand and if you are too close it will stomp the ground creating a damaging wave. I tried using the rocket launcher, but despite the blast radius it wasn't very effective. The best weapon here may be the minigun, especially when utilising the special sub-weapon making your bullets homing.

When you defeat the Tesloborgelion you find the Other Dude was in its head. You are then treated to a meme-filled animated fight between the two Dudes and once our guy explodes the head of his alter ego he returns to reality where the Dude pissed himself in his sleep. Then I tried replaying the Duskstar level to find some the extras I missed, but I discovered that when you choose a level your arsenal and ammo is severely limited making battles much tougher.

Postal: Brain Damaged is a fun first person shooter with crude humour and tons of references. If you liked the previous Postal games there is a lot to enjoy here. The combat is dynamic, there is a good variety of unique weapons and enemies forcing you to constantly be on your toes. The levels are generally well designed, but some of them can drag on and there are some difficulty spikes when you have to start from 0. I'm not a huge fan of the pixilated visuals, but they are serviceable. You can try to collect all the posters and secrets, but getting some of them can be a chore. Overall I would definitely recommend it to Postal fans and people who enjoy boomer shooters like Doom.

Went back to playing Kirby and the Forgotten Land and this game still is an absolute joy. My idea was to complete all the extra missions in each stage. Those vary, but usually you have to get all the hidden Waddle Dees and perhaps destroying some objects in the level. When I reached the boss battle against Gorimondo one of the tasks was to pass between his legs and I accidentally did all the others which were defeating him with a sword ability, doing so without taking damage and within a time limit. The Morpho sword at full health shoots a projectile at a pretty decent length, so it made a quick work out of him. Plus the dodge is a bit of a directional teleport allowing you to avoid his spin attack easily.

The Tropic Woods boss battle had more challenging missions including defeating it without using a copy ability - it's manageable, but you have to be on your toes. The no-damage run can be tricky since you have to stay away from the fruit bombs and be mindful of where its roots will manifest. Thankfully the Dragon Fire ability made quick work of him.

What proved to a be a pain in the ass was the fight against Clawroline. One of the missions was to shoot her while she's up on the columns, which is easy enough, but the no-damage run stumped me. When she's shooting you with her claws it's tricky to completely avoid. The best thing to do is get a slowed down dodge on one of the knifes, but that too is risky. The Morpho sword's teleport dodge is pretty good, but the way the camera is during that section it makes it hard to navigate. I wish there was a dedicated dodge button rather than having to press block and direction, which can lead to stopping you in your tracks in to get damaged by the bosses attack - it's not much mind you, but enough to fail the mission. The knives are the most difficult part to remain untouched. Even if you manage to avoid them all keep an eye on her plunge attack. You can just dodge it reliably giving you an extra counter-hit or simply float in the air until the waves from it dissolves.

Created the School Runner uniform for Chris with the special effect material and Kazuma got to have some fun with getting her wet. It also unlocked a new job Bricklaying.

Kazuma learns from Keith and Dust that the succubus place had a customer who was obsessed with clothes. He ordered a dream for the noble and while the succubus couldn't get into the mansion because of the barrier, our idiot goddess had that destroyed. This manipulated to noble to want those clothes to be created. We also learn that the guy in the black robes is actually alive. Dust and Keith are great friends who found all that info for Kazuma. Unlike the women in his party they are actually useful. Fair representation of the sexes. To prove my point Megumin constantly exploits Kazuma's curse. At least they figure out how to lift it, by allowing Kazuma to give them a massage.

In an event Kazuma helps Chris clean a church and gives her some indirect compliments by explaining how awesome Eris is.

The first outfit I made for Aqua is the Innocence Healer, which is a nurse's uniform, without the special material. Kazuma decides to test whether it improves Aqua's Heal, but she's being a cunt about it.

At one point Kazuma sees all the girls playing a board game. The winner can force all the losers to do something. Thankfully Chris was playing and since she is the Goddess of Luck, she won and just wanted a round of drinks. When Kazuma asked to join them they blew him off. Rude and unnecessary. I guess Wiz is the only woman who doesn't treat him like crap.

The dress lifting Kazuma's curse is called Charming Roomwear and it's basically pajamas. Darkness wears them and Aqua gives Megumin another set so that Kazuma can give them a massage. He then returns to normal and devises a plan to catch the real culprit.

Kazuma had a nice day out with Chris helping her with various tasks. At the end of the day they had a sweet conversation and Chris made a meal for him and his party. She is pretty much best girl, but can be a bit bratty at times.

Speaking of best girl, the only competition there is Wiz, who is kind to everybody, but was depressed for buying useless items again. Kazuma manages to lift her mood by explaining that people appreciate her and her shop even if she's not all that financially successful.

Later I developed the Charming Bathtime towel for Wiz with the special material. He first invited Wiz to bathe at his house, but because of Aqua's barrier she had to go to a public bathhouse. There she met Kazuma's party, who all badmouthed him - how nice. Wiz remained positive and even complimented them all. You know what - I retract my statements - she is best girl. This unlocks the Graveyard Duty job.

Nadir is a rogue-lite deck builder card game themed around the circles of hell. You play as Jeanne d'Arc, but other characters like Vlad Tepesh and Hernan Cortez are unlockable. I quite like the mechanics of the game. Each card you have has a red and a blue part, each with different effect. You play those against the enemy cards, which are always 3. You can play the blue effect on a blue card and vice versa. When you play it a charge slot on the enemy card is filled and when all of them are full, the reaction effect written on the card is performed and the card is flipped to the opposite colour with a different effect. Some of your cards require multiple charges to be played, which means the opponent must have the right number of cards of the corresponding colour.

The first available circle of hell is Gluttony (also there are only 5 rather than the usual 9). You proceed in steps and each sub-level has multiple nodes. You always have to start with a battle. Once you win, you are free to choose the other nodes, or just step further down. Some other options are a shop where you can buy card parts (either red or blue) and Proper Ascent, where you can dismantle a card, heal a bit or return to Nadir. When you win a battle you gain resources and the ability to build a new card out of 3 red and 3 blue options. I did my best, but I didn't manage to get to the bottom of Gluttony because I simply ran out of health.

Here I'll mention some of the card effects even though they are well explained when you hover over the card. Armour protects your health and is reset to 20 after each battle. Shielded absorbs a single attack regardless of the power. Rage increases the damage your deal by its value and weakness does the opposite. Damage dealing cards are simple enough, but there are some modifiers like piercing, which ignores armour and breaking, which ignores shields. I found Stealth cards particularly useful since they don't fill charge slots regardless of the cost - they are essentially a free move.

The city of Nadir acts as your base, where you can develop different buildings once you have the resources for them. Those provide you with upgrades. With the resources I gathered from my run I built the Alter of Dark Embrace which restores 10HP with every step you make. That's quite useful for survival considering how rare healing spots are.
