WASHINGTON β€” The Supreme Court ruled Monday that a former Washington state high school football coach had a right to pray on the field immediately after games.

The 6-3 ruling was a victory for Joseph Kennedy, who claimed that the Bremerton School District violated his religious freedom by telling him he couldn’t pray so publicly after the games. The district said it was trying to avoid the appearance that the school was endorsing a religious point of view.

"Both the Free Exercise and Free Speech Clauses of the First Amendment protect expressions like Mr. Kennedy’s," Justice Neil Gorsuch wrote in the majority opinion. "Nor does a proper understanding of the Amendment’s Establishment Clause require the government to single out private religious speech for special disfavor. The Constitution and the best of our traditions counsel mutual respect and tolerance, not censorship and suppression, for religious and nonreligious views alike."

In recent years, a more conservative Supreme Court has been inclined to view government actions it once considered to be neutral and necessary to maintain separation of church and state as hostile to religious expression.

One issue in the case was whether the coach’s decision to pray in such a prominent place, on the 50-yard line, amounted to a private moment of giving thanks or a public demonstration of his religious faith that his players may have felt compelled to join.

Kennedy urged the Supreme Court to find that he was acting on his own behalf, expressing his own religious views, not speaking as a mouthpiece for the school. But the school district said the students on the football team looked up to their coach and felt coerced into doing as he did.

America, Guns are not the problem. Psychopaths are the problem. Atlanta Georgia.

A Subway employee was fatally shot and another worker was critically injured after an argument with a customer "about too much mayo" on his sandwich, police said.

Officers responded to the shooting at the downtown Atlanta gas station shortly after 6:30 p.m. on Sunday, according to the Atlanta Police Department.

During a news conference Monday, police Deputy Chief Charles Hampton Jr. identified the worker who died as a 26-year-old woman. A second employee, a 24-year-old woman, was also shot and seriously injured, police said.

A 5-year-old child was also in the restaurant at the time of the shooting but was not injured, police said.

The women were taken to a hospital for treatment, where the 26-year-old was pronounced dead. Police did not release her name.

Hampton said the woman who survived was in critical condition on Monday.

According to police, a customer went into the restaurant to order a sandwich and became angry about his sub.

"There was something wrong with the sandwich that made him so upset that he decided to take out his anger on two employees," Hampton said.

Elite deviance is a condition known to sociologists that exists in a society when the elite of that society no longer believe that the rules apply to them.

β€œIt is not due primarily to psycho-pathological variables, but to the institutionalization of elite wrongdoing,” according to Professor David Simon.

Elite deviance is an anomaly in which a tiny few people who have enough material wealth, political influence, and personal connections can immunize themselves from considering the consequences of their most abhorrent, destructive, vile, and even criminal behavior. Elite deviance protects and perpetuates moral depravity and debased ethical relativism among the wealthy and powerful. Elite deviance is facilitated by a cadre of supporters, sycophants, apologists, and fellow travelers in media, academia, politics, and high finance.

In short, elite deviance means that there are a few among us to whom the rules don’t seem to apply. They can behave with impunity in ways that would otherwise incur severe, if not life-ending, repercussions for all others in the American criminal justice system.

Baltimore City Public Schools gave thousands of students passing grades that they did not earn.

This is a training video for the US Navy about pronouns. Somehow you are supposed to read people's minds to know "what their pronouns are" since a person's gender can change from day to day (according to their ideology). Somehow you are supposed to remembers people's "pronouns" when most people cannot even remembers other people's names. Yet if you make basic assumptions about a person you just met then that is hateful or even a hate crime. It is completely reasonable to assume that a stranger is an average person until there is proof that they are not. It is perfectly logical to assume someone is the gender they appear to be just as most people are. The practice of going around worrying about what other's gender is would be absurd.

This is just their way of forcing others to accept them. The left cannot earn "respect". They instead must demand it through coercion and Government tyranny.

As the Washington Commanders opened mandatory minicamp Tuesday, coach Ron Rivera addressed the $100,000 fine handed down to defensive coordinator Jack Del Rio last week. "I told him the decision was I was going to fine him $100,000 and we were going to move forward with this," Rivera said

Rivera fined Del Rio after the DC's Twitter comments comparing the 2020 protests in the wake of the murder of George Floyd to the insurrection at the U.S. Capitol and subsequently describing Jan. 6, 2021, as a "dust-up." Over the weekend, Del Rio deleted his Twitter account.
