Sloane Freemont - Create What You Speak Podcast

Think about where you are in your life today. Is there something about your current experience you don’t like? Who is responsible for doing something about it? I hope you pointed at yourself because you are the only one who can change where you are! When we are in a situation we don’t like, we often resist our current circumstances which causes internal chaos. And from that internal chaos, we try to create something new, which only brings more chaos. We don’t want to be where we are and we are fighting our own story which brings a massive amount of personal suffering.

As I’ve been asking after all these interviews with Erhard: What is next for you? What action will you take as a result of listening to this episode? Every month we pose a challenge to you, the listener, asking what is next for you after listening to this episode. And we are asking you the same this month! One action you could take right now is to reach out to Erhard and I and let us know how you plan to implement what you heard in this episode. Please reach out and share your thoughts! Have you been able to experience anything different as a result of this conversation? Please let us know! We welcome any questions or comments you have or any other topics you would like us to cover. You can reach Erhard at [email protected] and you can reach Sloane at [email protected] We look forward to hearing your comments, questions and suggestions!

"You are an infinite being with infinite potential. All you need to do is open yourself to a new consciousness, a true vision of who you really are and awaken to the power within". What if we all believed that? My guest this week is Gerry Hussey, author of the book Awaken Your Power Within: Let Go of Fear, Discover Your Infinite Potential and Become Your True Self.

Gerry and I cover so many things in this interview from the familiar fear and anxiety we all face to consciousness, the brain, your mind and the observer part of ourselves and how each part is separate to make up the whole. Gerry’s insight gave me a whole new way to view how our thoughts feed our brain (not our mind - our brain) and how much control we really do have over what goes on inside our head.I said at the beginning of this interview that this book has all the right questions in it that you need to ask yourself to move into a different way of living. Gerry is an amazing human and his book is a must have for everyone on the journey of self-discovery.

Communication is a two-way street and everyone’s communication styles are different. Different doesn’t mean bad, it just means different. With that in mind, it’s important to remind ourselves that just because we prefer one communication method, it doesn’t mean everyone in our life is going to want the same. So paying attention to our own communication style as well as understanding what others' preferences are, can go a long way to improving our relationships.

On this episode, Alex Martin is back on the show to talk about communicating in ways people can hear. I absolutely love that title because so often people communicate without ever noticing or caring if the person they are speaking to is actually hearing what they are saying. We also talk about conflict resolution and pathways to redemption. Alex and I both share examples from our own lives of how we have been able to speak up about our own needs to get more out of the relationships we have with other people.

If better communication interests you, and/or you're looking for improved ways to handle conflict resolution, tune into this episode! I think there is going to be something valuable for everyone who listens to improve communication in their own lives. Enjoy!

Do you value yourself sufficiently? I think most people would say yes. But if you start to examine your life, do your actions align with someone who values themselves sufficiently? It’s an interesting experiment to look at in your own life.

In this episode, Dr Erhard Vogel and I continue our monthly conversation. We cover all kinds of topics this week from how to have an experience so you can use the knowledge you’ve gained to live and act accordingly, how not living in the moment causes you not to relate to what you are experiencing and the importance of not classifying our feelings but being able to sit with them and let them flow through you. Denying our feelings ends up chaining us to the feelings we are trying to deny and Erhard shares his insight on the impact this has on us.

This week we are going to journey into the underworld to understand what it is, what it can offer you and the importance of building a relationship with it. Dr. Joanna LaPrade joins me this week to discuss her new book “Forged In Darkness - The Many Paths to Personal Transformation”. This book is about learning how your experiences of hardship—moments of darkness, resonate with different mythic underworld journeys. Through opening a world of myth, psychology, storytelling, dreams, and symbolism it invites you to treat the inevitable darkness of life as a forge of transformation and growth.

In this episode, we discuss how fixing, control, and willpower dominate our relationship with hardship and the inner world and why that attitude is limiting if used all the time. There are many ways to be with and learn from suffering and we talk about how this book can help you find yours. We also discuss accepting the challenges of life and knowing ourselves at a deep level is difficult but how it also brings meaning, depth, capacity, and opportunities for profound transformation. I also share my own experience of what I learned from reading “Forged in Darkness” after the recent loss of my father and insights I gained from the book. If you’ve listened to my show, you know I love talking to entrepreneurs about creation and bringing ideas to life. This week I’m excited to have Tanya Griffin on the show. Tanya is the founder of oOYes, an ecstatic sex lifestyle brand. Tanya and I talk about being an entrepreneur and the ups and down that come with it, why and how she created her company and what drives her to help people open up their communication channels to have better sex.

Built by women for everyone, oOYes leans into a retro sex, drugs and rock ‘n roll vibe. They are a sex positive, sex forward company and believe great sex starts with open communication, showing up and staying present. oOYes creates cannagasmic formulations that enhance pleasure and lead to ecstatic sex. The lubes, elixirs, massage candle and delectibles are rich in full spectrum CBD, CBG, terpenes, their patented beefused honey and other powerful botanicals designed to improve your sex life and bring new earth-shattering experiences. The oOYes Sex Quiz allows you to find your “kink score” and open communication with your partner about which sex acts you are willing to do together. If you are looking to have fun in the bedroom, build confidence and get closer to your partner, this episode is for you!

This week's show might sound odd and you might be thinking "why would I want to do something I don't want to do?" Good question but let me explain. If you follow me on social media, you know that my dad recently passed away. This was such a complete shock to all of us and we are all still trying to process how we move forward.

I've been swallowed in grief for the past 2 weeks and trying to figure out how I can reacclimate to the world without my dad. I'm finding my old patterns of wanting to retreat and be alone rearing up which is keeping me isolated and alone. (If you've listened to the show in the past, you know my history with the word "alone"). Now is when I need people the most so I've had to find ways to do differently than I've done in the past.

What I'm finding is that doing things I don't want to do (as long as they are beneficial and healthy) is what is saving me right now. It's helping me find relief from the grief when it didn't seem like that was possible.
Even if you haven't suffered from the depths of grief like I am now, I think you'll still find something valuable in this episode when doing things you don't want to do.

The other day I was doing an online workout and the instructor was reminding us to keep our head, neck and back in alignment for the particular exercise we were doing. In this reminder to us, she said "The answers you are looking for are not on the floor". I actually stopped the workout and started laughing at that moment. All I could think of was "wow, that is so true!".

In this episode, I share my thoughts on what goes on when we are looking down at the floor for answers, all the places we look for answers and how there are other options for us to find what we are looking for. We don't always have to be on a quest to fix ourselves through having someone else dictate our lives, comparing ourselves to someone's "perfect" life on social media or waiting for the next course or class to "fix" us.

You are not broken and you do not need fixing. This episode is a reminder of how you have the answers inside of you that you are looking for. It's time to take your personal power back and in this episode, I share my thoughts on how that can be done.

Are you experiencing something in your life that annoys you, frustrates you or makes you angry? I think everyone reading this will probably say yes. When we are in those situations, especially in the moment, it can feel like something is being "done" to us and that we are justified in the emotion we are feeling. And we may very well be, but does being in that justification or falling into victim mode, actually solve the problem?

For me it didn't and in this episode I want to share an example with you from my own life of how I dealt with it and the realizations I came too. One of the big things I found when I was exploring this was that staying in that justification kept me stuck. Instead, what I learned was how I can do something different with my mind to allow me to change anything about my internal experience and external reality. And if I did it, you can too!

The time to do something about your annoyance/frustration/anger (or other emotion) is not in the moment you are feeling the feeling. Having a plan of action needs to be thought about and created when you are in a more neutral state.  Right now, no matter where you are in life, there are a million ways to get what you want. You may not believe me but it's true. In this episode, I'm going to explain to you how it works and how you can apply it to your own life. Don't miss it!

If you've listened to the show, you've heard me say that our thoughts matter. What we think sets the basis for how we live out our life. Whether your thoughts are good or bad, your life is going to move in the direction those thoughts take you. After you start to change your thoughts,it doesn't stop there. So what comes next? I'm so glad you asked because this episode is all about the key to creating what you speak!

Dr. Erhard Vogel joins me in this episode for our monthly conversation and we really break down what it means to "Create What You Speak". I've never done a deep dive into what that means...until this episode! Erhard and I share some key steps you can take today to really start experiencing yourself and being engaged in your life. We also answer a listener's question about the unempowering strategy of dissociating during pain and Erhard provides insight on how to look at a situation like that differently.

What is next for you? Last month we posed a challenge to you, the listener, asking what is next for you after listening to this episode? And we are asking you the same this month! One action you could take right now is to reach out to Erhard and I and let us know how you plan to implement what you heard in this episode. Please reach out and share your thoughts! Have you been able to experience anything different as a result of this conversation? Please let us know! We welcome any questions or comments you have or any other topics you would like us to cover. You can reach Erhard at [email protected] and you can reach Sloane at [email protected] We look forward to hearing your comments, questions and suggestions!

The other day someone mentioned something to me about a current event, expecting me to be mad, and I just wasn't. Surprised by this, the person then asked me "Well doesn’t this make you mad"? I thought about it for a minute and I said "No, it actually doesn’t because I’ve just stopped caring about the current events that I have no control over and that are hyped up by corporate media with the intention of keeping me in fear or rage."

I thought about that afterwards and wondered: when did I stop caring? I don’t really remember when the change occured, it just happened. I can’t pinpoint the day or the time that I stopped caring. I just stopped. This led me to consider how different I am as a person as a result of this change, of not caring about whatever it is I’m "supposed" to care about.

This is an interesting observation about life because it got me thinking about how I’ve changed in other ways and wondering when did those changes occur as well? Again, I couldn't pinpoint it to a day or time, but change had definitely happened.

There is definitely change that happens to us that is abrupt such as losing a job, a break up or a death. But there is also A LOT of change that happens that isn’t abrupt and as you are going through it, it doesn’t even feel like change. It is so subtle and so slow, it almost seems like nothing is happening until you look back and you can see how different you are, know where you came from and recognize that change occurred.

The interesting thing about change is when it happens, and we haven’t recognized it, things can feel prickly or irritating or annoying and we may not know why. Maybe we can’t be in certain situations we once were or we can’t be around the same people anymore but we don’t know why. If you are finding this happening to you, one place to look is within and see if something has changed for you that maybe you haven’t noticed.

This week I share my thoughts on change that is so subtle, we don’t even notice it, how to recognize it in your life and and why you should look back at this and protect the change that benefits you at all costs!

Is this my strategy for staying the same? This is such an interesting question to ask yourself when you are engaging in behavior that feels terrible or that you know doesn't work. In this episode, I share what I'm learning in a course I'm taking about becoming aware of what you're focusing on. Thoughts, emotions and behaviors used to feel like they were all one unit that I had no control over. This left me feeling like my emotions were often out of control and these behaviors I had (that felt terrible) were just "how I was". But now I'm starting to see things differently and I share that perspective with you this week.

Once you start to see what you focus on, you can then understand why you feel the way you feel which then in turn affects how you behave. And the good news about all of this is you have complete control over it! In this episode, I'll explain how. I also share some important questions to ask yourself about your focus. You don't have to continue to feel stuck or do things that don't feel good to you. This episode will help you to understand how you can start choosing what you focus on in ways that feel good so you can move in the direction of what you want to be, do and have in this life!

Dr. Erhard Vogel is back this week and our topic is all about resistance. I think this is something many of us can relate to which is why I wanted to discuss this important topic with Erhard. In this episode, Erhard and I talk about what resistance means, how it affects us and what we can do about it. Our intention is that you will value yourself enough to look into the things we discuss in this episode and accept yourself unconditionally. There is so much life to live on the other side of resistance, if you are willing to do it!

What is next for you? I posed the challenge to the listeners asking what is next for you after listening to this episode? One action you could take right now is to reach out to Erhard and I and let us know how you plan to implement what you heard in this episode. Please reach out and share your thoughts! Have you been able to experience anything different as a result of this conversation? Please let us know! As discussed in this episode, the resistance you have will tell you not to do it, but Erhard & I want you to move past that and do it anyway! Also, we welcome any questions or comments you have or any other topics you would like us to cover. You can reach Erhard at [email protected] and you can reach Sloane at [email protected].

This week I'm excited to welcome back Lawrence Rook to the show. Lawrence is the author of "Your Money, Your Mind", a book that explores both skeptical thinking and how to protect yourself from the wealth transfer we are currently experiencing. If you missed my previous interview with Lawrence, you can find it here Using Skepticism to Free Your Mind & Take Control of Your Finances.

In the last interview I did with Lawrence, we touched on both the financial side and the skeptical thinking side. For today's discussion, we are talking about the more spiritual side of things to help you take control of your life and your sovereignty so you can create the kind of life you want to create. We talk about what it means to be someone who is seeking truth and wants to understand what's really going on, how you can't always blindly trust the alternative media just because they are alternative, how to use discernment and this spiritual journey we are all on often consists of a breakdown of self as you begin to relearn what you thought you knew. We discuss polarization and how that can be used to divide and rule people, why it's important to take what works and leave the rest and how everything starts from within.

In this episode, Lawrence made the comment that we can't always predict what we are going to grow from and we don't really know what is best for us. We are part of an intelligent universe that wants the best for us and can see the bigger picture when we can't. I loved that comment so much I called that the title of the episode because I thought it was a great reminder. This was an amazing conversation with so much great information for anyone who is seeking truth, exploring alternative paths and wants to be part of the solution. Don't miss this episode, this is one you are going to want to listen to a few times to let it all sink in!

More About the book: Your Money, Your Mind: With open-minded thinking we can see beyond conventional systems. Knowledge equates to freedom, and with the expanded perspective gained from exposure to alternative information we can have more choice and sovereignty in our lives.
This book will teach you how:
The global financial system benefits the few and not the many
The Covid response is causing a global wealth transfer
To protect and grow your wealth with bitcoin, gold and silver
By understanding the financial system you can protect, preserve and grow your wealth at a time when it is being systematically taken from us.
Take control of your money and wealth today and be part of the global change!
About Lawrence Rook: Lawrence has been a researcher of alternative information for many years, particularly in the field of health and wellbeing, and more recently the worldwide financial system. He is a professional Chirologist and has a background in healthcare with a degree in Chinese medicine. Lawrence lives in Devon, England with his wife and two young children currently studying for a doctorate in counselling psychology and psychotherapy.

Lawrence can be contacted via his website: www.lawrencerook.com. You can purchase his book, Your Money, Your Mind: How Open, Sceptical Thinking Improves Your Life and Can Protect You From the Pandemic Wealth Transfer, on Amazon and other online retailers. You can purchase the audio version here.

It's time for another monthly check-in with Dr. Erhard Vogel. In this episode, Erhard and I discuss what it means to experience it and know it. I share an example of how this happened in my own life with something as simple as burning myself with my curling wand (!). During that experience, I was able to let go of a false identity of myself because I chose not to believe the thoughts that wanted to interfere in my mind.

Picking up on our previous episode, Erhard and I discuss interconnectedness and the feeling of isolation and suffering that is so prevailing in the world now. We discuss how this feeling of isolation causes so much pain and suffering and how you can start to value yourself sufficiently to give yourself the attention you deserve so you can direct your attention and energy to living a life true to yourself. As all my conversations with Erhard are, this one is truly enlightening and I know you will enjoy it!

More about Erhard Vogel: Erhard Vogel, PhD, is recognized as one of the foremost meditation and Self-realization teachers in the world. Born in war-torn Germany, Dr. Vogel immigrated to the United States at age fourteen. He graduated from the Pratt Institute of Design in New York, and at an early age rose to a respected position in a world-renowned architectural firm. At thirty-one, he set aside a brilliant career in architecture to devote himself to the service of humanity. For four years Erhard, as he likes to be called by his students, traveled the globe on foot. He lived in Europe, the Middle East, Afghanistan, India, Nepal and China, thoroughly researching the ways in which people of different cultures seek fulfillment. He saw the underlying need in everyone to fulfill their potential.

Erhard’s teachings are a unique combination of time-tested wisdom and pragmatic method. His fundamental, experiential and systematic approach is based upon sound psychological, physiological and spiritual principles that make meditation and Self-realization practical and attainable. Erhard teaches not from books nor from other people’s ideas, but out of his own profound life experience. Through his depth of knowledge he is able to inspire and gently guide sincere students to the experience of their limitless potential. With unconditional acceptance and unwavering respect for the Being they are, he inspires his students to recognize their real Self and to treat themselves with trust and kindness. The story of how my guest for this week came about felt random at first but I know it actually wasn't random at all. It started like this: I read a post on Flote about accepting things as they are, not as we want them to be and it really got me thinking. For some reason, I still don't engage much on social media through comments, (I think that's leftover from my Facebook days and how argumentative people were on there.) but I decided to comment because those words kept pulling at me. There was something there that I needed to understand more as that phrase "accepting things as they are" kept coming up for me. (I think this was like the 4th or 5th time I had heard it that week so I guessed it was finally time to pay attention!).

I made the comment on the post and chatted back and forth with the poster and that is how Alex Martin came to join the podcast. Here's an excerpt from the post: "The accepting part is about not letting those wishes turn into expectations or frustrations. Accepting things as they are in this case meant setting my expectations and entitlements aside and realizing that this young woman had agency… freedom… choices… that she didn’t belong to anyone but herself. The wish and will part would have been for me to tell her about my feelings when I realized I had them… and then accept whatever the outcome of that might have been."

Alex and I have a thoughtful discussion on what it means to accept things as they are, how it doesn't mean giving up or giving in and how we can use our voices to be more clear about what it is we want in life and go after it. I think you're really going to like this episode, don't miss it!

It’s been awhile since I’ve done a solo show so this week I share some thoughts with you on the opportunities that are all around us and how we all have much more power than we are willing to realize. Please note: there is an issue with the audio for the first minute or so of the show. I'm not sure what happened but it does level out and there are no issues after that!

In this episode, I share some examples from my own life about how I was able to create opportunities when on the surface it looked like there were none. One of those examples was when I was jobless, poor and not really having any idea what to do next, I saw an opportunity in an underutilized space and was able to create a blog and a podcast which eventually led to my 12 year career in IT consulting.

If you’re tired of feeling stuck in your box and looking for a way to get out, this episode is for you. In this short episode, I will give you several ways to think about things in your life differently. My intention is you will be able to take something from what you’ve heard here and it will lead you to the next step on your path. Please be sure to connect with me on social media from the links below!

My guest today is Pete Zaborszky, creator of the new social network site Retalk.com. Retalk_ has one goal: To facilitate civil discussion between people in the political center, and center right (and center left if they engage in a civil way), about any topic.
Pete and I talk about censorship & why he created Retalk_, we discuss the impact censorship has on all of us psychologically and how now more than ever we need to be able to have thoughtful conversations with each other online.

We talk about how the woke voices are currently the loudest and their desire to get everyone in 100% agreement on every topic (which we all know will never happen). Pete shares what it's like to be the CEO of a free speech site and how sticking to his values helps him make decisions in those sticky moments. If you are tired  of silicon valley censoring your voice (aren't we all?), check out Retalk.com, the fastest growing non-woke social network.

More about Pete Zaborszky: Pete Zaborszky is a serial entrepreneur who previously founded a privacy advocate organization, and now is the CEO and founder of Retalk.com. Born in Soviet Hungary, growing up in both the UK and Hungary, Pete strongly believes in individual liberty and freedom of speech. This led him to create Retalk, a new social network for people frustrated with the censorship of Silicon Valley big tech. Retalk is built to encourage civil discussion. Conversations are grouped around interests, like gardening or history or politics. It also includes its own blogging platform with a ready-made audience. Retalk is run by people who welcome conservative/right-wing and center-right views. You can connect with Pete & the Retalk team here:

What does health and well being mean to you? Preventative healthcare is a hot topic these days as most of us are doing everything we can to stay away from doctors and hospitals. 2020 was a wake up call to many and we continue to see how what was once thought of as "health" care is really more about getting people addicted to a system that keeps them customers for life.  Do you want to live that way? I know I don't. What if there was a different way?

My guest on this episode is Sunita Passi, author of the book "The Doctor Won't See You Now, Staying Healthy While the Medical System is Re-Booted". Sunita is an Ayurvedic specialist and shares here knowledge of the 5,000-year-old world of this Indian healing system.

I think many of us can agree, it’s time to heal healthcare. We as individuals will have to take greater responsibility for our own well being, and have a say on those issues for people in our lives. Current models are broken and antibiotics can’t keep up with illnesses resistant to them.A 2018 study by John Hopkins Institute rated the medical system as America’s third largest cause of hospital deaths. And a lot of the drugs used are based on science that hasn’t been replicated and is sometimes questionable. There’s a lot of talk about complementary medicine, but much of it looks like woo. How do you cut through that and find a way forward for you and those you love at a time when money is set to be tight?

A new perspective on health will allow you to make a greater range of choices. Western medicine offers incredible advances, for sure. But the word ‘advance’ supposes what was before is somehow redundant. Many medicines are based on herbs and plants used by cultures worldwide for their healing properties, and it’s likely that the Ayurveda system developed over centuries in India is the world’s oldest cohesive approach to well being. We’ve seen fragments of it spun off in the form of yoga and mindfulness, often out of context. The core to Ayurveda is balance and using portions of its approach to be a better functioning cog in the modern machine economy shows a lack of wisdom. With increasing talk of a reset, now is the perfect time to look at what that means through a new – and ancient – lens.If you are looking for true alternatives outside of the "healthcare" system that has been forced upon us, you won't want to miss this episode. Sunita offers a range of solutions for anyone, anytime on any budget. I think you might be surprised how easy it is to put yourself in the driver's seat and take control of your own personal health and well being!

More about Sunita Passi: Sunita Passi is a renowned specialist in Ayurvedic medicine, an award-winning skincare entrepreneur and a wellness visionary who has spent 20 years shaping an alternative future for healing and health.

As founder and CEO of the Tri-Dosha Ayurvedic training and skincare business, Sunita cuts through the mystique surrounding complementary medicine, advocating for Ayurveda as the world's oldest cohesive approach. At a time when physical and mental health have never been more in the spotlight, her belief that it’s time to heal healthcare and take greater responsibility for our own well-being is a call to action that needs to be heard. To discover more about Sunita’s training courses and product collections, please visit www.SunitaPassi.com.

On this episode, Dr. Erhard Vogel joins the show as part of our ongoing monthly series. One of the many things I love about my conversations with Erhard is I never know where they are going to go but we always have a truly expansive and open conversation!  There is so much to learn from Erhard and his teachings and I'm thrilled to have him back on the show.

I start out this episode asking Erhard about one of his recent Pearls of Wisdom from his weekly newsletter: "Examining the Falsity about yourself does not necessarily have you live in Truth". We talk about what examining the Falsity about yourself means (and what it doesn't) and how we can start to gently examine Falsity in our own lives (hint, it might not be what you are expecting). From there Erhard and I discuss so many things from valuing ourselves sufficiently, to what it means to be, really be, and how you can drop all the layers of yourself that aren't really you. We discuss how to get out of our heads so we can experience life with all of our being and I share my experience with this in a recent meditation.  During this conversation I also share an example of how much relief I feel in what Erhard and I are discussing, which illustrates Erhards teaching: to know and experience for ourselves. Erhard and I really had a magical conversation with this episode and my intention is that you follow along in our monthly series and can learn and grow along the way!

I talk on the show about how to free our minds from the mainstream or matrix level programming that we have been taught through society, government schools, Hollywood, big tech, etc. Programming is not just what is imprinted upon us by the matrix though, it’s also freeing our minds from our own programming which includes negative thoughts, loops and patterns that keep us stuck in these places that we don’t want to be.

This week, Lawrence Rook joins the show. Lawrence is the author of the book Your Money, Your Mind: How Open, Sceptical Thinking Improves Your Life and Can Protect You From the Pandemic Wealth Transfer. Our topic this week is two parts:

1. Lawrence & I discuss how we can use skepticism, discernment & alternative thinking to free our minds so we can actually think freely and
2. We discuss how we can use that new found freedom to start to look at the monetary system differently and protect ourselves financially.

Lawrence and I touch on other topics in this episode including, why it's important to have an open mind and to be skeptical (and what you can do so you don't end up full of skepticism), layers of truth and how our lives are driven by our narratives, and why so-called "experts" have the most to lose when narratives start to fall apart. Lawrence gives an overview of the current financial system and how it's stacked against us and then offers some solutions (in both digital and analogue format) that you can do today to protect yourself based on your own comfort level. If you are open to new ways of thinking and leaving outdated ways of doing behind, don't miss this episode!
