Trip to India Jan 2002 Part Six
Wed 10th January 2002 Train continues.
On Sat 9th March, 2024, a day before starting to prepare parts Six to Nine, I was having a zoom consultation with a clairvoyant, Greg at Healing Pathways, and asked him if some of the passed over musicians (Nick Drake etc) had any messages for me. The messages that came back were they could see my love for their music and loved me using their music this way on the train videos and thus bringing forgotten music back to people here. In particular the Moody Blues was mentioned and I said to the clairvoyant Greg their records used to be produced by another Tony Clarke, which amused him. That Tony Clarke died many years ago and could have been one of the musos contacting Greg.
This video is from approx two and a half hours out of Mumbai on the line heading to Hyderabad. Again the poor video quality was because we could not get the window cleaner than this and the camera distorted somewhat.
Arthur Gee-Whizz Band City Cowboy LP of 1972 continues on side two with:
Name Of The Game; City Cowboy; Thank You Very Much (Niraj points something out in the distance).
Crosby Nash 1978 record Side One: Love Work Out (Kamar Park And Water Resort station); The Wall Song; Wild Tales; Carry Me (part then silence for two minutes, while I line up The Act).
The Act with Too Late At 20. This is the second record by Nick Laird-Clowes released in 1981. This band had Mark Gilmour (brother the famous David Gilmour); Sam Harley and Derek Adams. Nick had some lovely songs about India later in the Dream Academy, so he may well like me using this album and the next from a train in India. After The Dream Academy, Nick spent two years in Tibet. Then he released two CDs under Trashmonk - all of which I have in my collection, along with new stuff from DA afterwards and lots of special releases. If someone knows Nick, please let him know of these videos. One of the stories I liked about Nick was how after Nick Drake died he took all his savings and bought Drake’s guitar at his deceased estate auction. Side One: Too Late At 20; The Long Island Sound; Touch And Go; The Art Of Deception; Protection.
