In this video I make some heavy duty gate hinges for a heavy wooden driveway gate that I have made which will appear in my next video. Originally I bought some hinges from the local hardware store and realized while making the wooden gates that the hinges would be too small and not strong enough. So I decided to make my own hinges using four M18 bolts for the pins and mild steel for the other parts of the hinges.

I'm always drilling crooked holes so I decided to make a small drill guide I can throw in a tool box and take with me whenever I am working. The guide is made from PETG plastic and I have printed various size bushings designed for each of the most common drill bit sizes I use.
In this video I make a cutting guide that can be used with circular saws, routers and jigsaws. The guide clamps to the work piece using an M8 bolt which is screwed into the end block of the guide. The cutting guide is made from one piece of 1350mm x 100mm x 15mm thick plywood and two pieces of 1300mm x 45mm x 6mm thick laminated plywood with the End block and Slide block and bolt knob being PLA plastic.

In this video I make a table for my 3D printers. The table is 1000mm long x 400mm deep and 850mm tall. I used two sheets of 15mm plywood for the top and shelf. The frame and legs were made from pine. The legs were made from 95mm x 45mm pieces and the frames from 70mm x 45mm pieces.

In this video I made a bedside lamp from pieces of 15mm thick plywood I had lying around in the shop. My DIY router circle cutting jig was the main tool used for this project. The glass cover was from an old soviet era gasket type lamp used for outdoor settings or in a barn or workshop.

In this video I make some large C clamps from 10mm thick steel flat bar. These clamps have more than twice the reach of my standard 6 inch or 150mm clamps that I use most often for projects. It's good to have bigger clamps when for instance I want to glue plywood sheets together. I used M16 threaded rod for the main screws and M16 Hexagonal nuts. The wooden handles I bought from my local hardware store. The glue used for the handles was a common type of construction adhesive and the paint I used was Hammerite Smooth Black.

In this video I make and test an action cam shock mount made from 3D printed parts. I made this shock mount because the microphone in my camera picks up all the vibrations when mounted directly onto the dash board of my vehicle, especially when driving on rough roads. Assembling the parts I used 12 metric M3 bolts 15mm long, two M6 10mm long bolts and 4 elastic hair bands.

In this video I decorate the concrete well with stones gathered from the fields and level the well pipe. The masonry work is the second part of the Well project. The first part was making the well cover and the third part will be making a timber roof above the well.

In this video I make a drilling guide for a small portable drill from a ball bearing drawer slide. I need to thread some holes in plastic for another project I'm working on which requires a drill which can do reverse. None of my other drill presses have a reverse so I decided to use a portable drill. The stand is made from plywood. I removed the ball bearings that are used for the drawer member of the slide as well as removing the draw member itself. So only one set of ball bearings are left in the slide. I had to print the drill attachment a second time as I did not allow enough room for shrinkage and as a result the first time the drill chuck didn't fit through the hole.

In this video I make a dust collector for a small shop vac. I used a 60 liter plastic bucket and replaced the lid with a stronger plywood lid and added a plywood support so the walls of the bucket would not deform as a result of the vacuum created in the bucket. The collector bucket hose was made from two separate vacuum hoses to which I added 3D printed fittings. A steel mesh water filter was attached to the underside of the lid to prevent large particles getting sucked into the vacuum cleaner. The design of the collector seems to work well as not even small dust particles get into the shop vac.

While thinking about my dust collector project, I realized that I needed to make a wooden lid and that I didn't have a router circle cutting jig. So I made a circle cutting jig and a wooden lid. I decided to make the jig from 40mm and 50mm square steel tube which means I can extend the length of the jig by adding another piece on the end with the same size tube if needed. M8 threaded rod and nuts were used to attach the router and M8 Allen key bolts were used to fix the sliding tube in place.

In this video I make a throne chair from old wood salvaged from a demolition site. The wood was a combination of Baltic pine and Spruce. A total of 44 wooden dowels were used for the joints. Eight screws were used for attaching the back rest and its supports.
In this video I melt aluminum cans without using a gas or electric furnace. Just a simple set up using wood for the fuel and a cheap hair dryer to force air into the coals. The furnace is a piece of steel pipe encased in sand and bricks. This method is not the most economic way to make ingots but it works if you don't have a gas fired or electric furnace.

In this video I make a wooden guitar stand with leather padding for the guitars. The stand can accommodate 5 guitars. This is the first project I have filmed in which I have worked with leather.
In this video I make some woodworking clamps. The design of these clamps is based on the design of some metalworking toolmaker vises. Using the similar design principle ensures that the jaws do not lift or skew sideways during tightening. The clamps are made from Birch plywood, off cuts of baltic pine and Spruce, M12 threaded bolts, M6 threaded bolts and 33.7mm steel pipe.

Making a Soap Cutter for @ezervanna. The soap cutter is designed to cut large 600 x 400mm blocks of soap into smaller pieces. The cutter is made from plywood and uses 700mm full extension ball bearing drawer slides, guitar wire and guitar tuning pegs.
