"It has taken a while to develop this release but we are still here and despite life throwing in extra challenges for each of our team members the past months, we are proud to present you our Galileo ISO with significant changes. KDE Plasma replaced Xfce as the Live environment and on the offline install option. To make development and maintenance easier for the team, we switched to KDE Plasma instead of Xfce due to a more native experience for our developers with the Calamares installer. This only affects the Live environment and the offline install option. When choosing the online install option, Xfce is still there as an option to choose from. For those who like the Xfce theme we created, this option will still be available after installation through the Welcome app."

EndeavourOS is a rolling release Linux distribution based on Arch Linux. The project aims to be a spiritual successor to Antergos - providing an easy setup and pre-configured desktop environment on an Arch base. EndeavourOS offers both off-line and on-line install options. The off-line installer, Calamares, uses the Xfce desktop by default. The on-line installer can install optional software components, including most popular desktop environments.

"MATE Desktop has been updated to 1.26.2 with a selection of bugs fixes and minor improvements to associated components. caja-rename 23.10.1-1 has been ported from Python to C. libmatemixer 1.26.0-2+deb12u1 resolves heap corruption and application crashes when removing USB audio devices. mate-desktop 1.26.2-1 improves portals support. mate-notification-daemon 1.26.1-1 fixes several memory leaks. mate-system-monitor 1.26.0-5 now picks up libexec files from /usr/libexec. mate-session-manager 1.26.1-2 set LIBEXECDIR to /usr/libexec/ for correct interaction with mate-system-monitor. mate-user-guide 1.26.2-1 is a new upstream release. mate-utils 1.26.1-1 fixes several memory leaks."

Ubuntu MATE is a desktop Linux distribution which aims to bring the simplicity and elegance of the Ubuntu operating system through a classic, traditional desktop environment - the MATE desktop. MATE is the continuation of the GNOME 2 desktop environment which was used as Ubuntu's default desktop until 10.10 (when it was replaced by Unity). The project began its life as an Ubuntu "remix", but starting with version 15.04, it was formally accepted as an official member of the Ubuntu family of Linux distributions.

The latest versions of the world's leading enterprise Linux platform fuel production container innovations, add new management services through Red Hat Insights and full support for Stratis as a system storage option. ... Previously, RHEL image builder created EC2 AMD or Intel 64-bit architecture AMIs images with support only for the legacy boot type. As a consequence, it was not possible to take advantage of certain AWS features requiring UEFI boot, such as secure boot. This enhancement extends the AWS EC2 AMD or Intel 64-bit architecture AMI image to support UEFI boot, in addition to the legacy BIOS boot. As a result, it is now possible to take advantage of AWS features which require booting the image with UEFI."

"We are once again utilizing Calamares 3.3 Alpha 2 in Lubuntu 23.10, as it has proven to be highly reliable since its initial use in Lubuntu 22.10. During testing, we did note that if you attempt to create an encrypted installation without a passphrase, Lubuntu will be installed unencrypted. This is unlikely to be a problem for most users as disk encryption requires a passphrase for it to be effective. More information can be found here. We have a new wallpaper (which is also used as at the login screen), created one of our Lubuntu Members; Walter Lapchynski, with a bit of assistance from Ubuntu Studio's Erich Eickmeyer. Thanks to both Walter and Erich. Please also check the Ubuntu Release Notes for more common issues and bugs affecting all Ubuntu flavors."

Lubuntu is a variant of Ubuntu that uses the LXQt desktop environment. (Versions prior to 18.10 shipped with the LXDE desktop.) It includes essential applications and services for daily use, including office suite, PDF reader, image editor and multimedia players. A distribution available for both 32-bit and 64-bit computers, Lubuntu is intended to be user-friendly, lightweight and energy efficient.

"As of now, garuda-update should be able to handle any conflict that recently occurred mostly due to the already mentioned Arch package name changes. In case you missed it, please read the announcement to understand what is going on. Furthermore, it applies the Archlinux repo migration which happened since our last release, and fixes a few more update potential update blockers. For everyone still using 'pacman -Syu' without being able to work around issues like this manually, please ensure always using garuda-update as it was made exactly for this purpose :blush: A few editions have been dropped from our line-up. The reason behind this is quite simple - they are not getting necessary maintenance or are missing a maintainer. The logical choice is to no longer offer them to the public."

Garuda Linux is a rolling distribution based on the Arch Linux operating system. Unlike Arch Linux, Garuda Linux comes with a graphical installer (Calamares) for easy installation, and other advanced graphical tools for managing your system. Garuda is a performance-oriented distro with many performance enhancing tweaks. Some of the many tweaks include using zram, a performance CPU governor, along with custom memory management software. Garuda Linux has striven to provide system stability by including the Timeshift backup utility.

How to Set Up and Update Your Control Group Account

We ask our Control Group participants to login to their account at the beginning of each month to ensure that each Household Participant profile is 100% up-to-date. The more complete a record, the more versatile it is and the more research it can be included in.

This video will show you how to do your monthly report.

We will continue to remind you in our monthly newsletter to check your profile is up to date, but you can update your health records as often as you like, at any time during the month.

To review each record, start at the top of the page and look for the red flashing prompts in the section overview.

Click the prompt to go to the relevant section.

Whilst the monthly reporting/update process may look different now, we are still collecting the same data which allows us to answer the question, 'Were people better off NOT getting the COVID-19 vaccines?' and 'Do those who remain unvaccinated have the same lifespan as those who remained unvaccinated?'

The way in which records are now kept has improved comprehensiveness of the database. The optional extra details people are able to give means we can now ask more in-depth questions of the data set; including, 'Do the unvaccinated have a better quality of life than the vaccinated? If so, why?' and 'Do the unvaccinated get sick at the same rate as the vaccinated? If not, why?'

Code-named 'Mantic Minotaur', Kubuntu 23.10 continues our tradition of giving you friendly computing by integrating the latest and greatest open-source technologies into a high-quality, easy-to-use Linux distribution. Under the hood, there have been updates to many core packages, including a new 6.5-based kernel, KDE Frameworks 5.110, KDE Plasma 5.27 and KDE Gear 23.08. Kubuntu has seen many updates for other applications, both in our default install and installable from the Ubuntu archive. Haruna, Krita, Kdevelop, Yakuake and many many more applications are updated. Applications for core day-to-day usage are included and updated, such as Firefox and LibreOffice."

Kubuntu is a free, user-friendly Linux distribution based on KDE's desktop software and on the Ubuntu operating system. It has a biannual release cycle. Besides providing an up-to-date version of the KDE desktop at the time of the release, the project also releases updated KDE packages throughout the lifetime of each release.

"Highlights: Improved hardware support for Bluetooth headphones and touchpads. Color emoji is now included and supported in Firefox, Thunderbird, and newer GTK-based apps. Significantly improved screensaver integration and stability. Known issues: The shutdown prompt may not be displayed at the end of the installation. Instead you might just see a Xubuntu logo, a black screen with an underscore in the upper left hand corner, or just a black screen. Press Enter and the system will reboot into the installed environment. Xorg crashes and the user is logged out after logging in or switching users on some virtual machines, including GNOME Boxes. You may experience choppy audio or poor system performance while playing audio, but only in some virtual machines (observed in VMware and VirtualBox)."

Kurz nachdem ich das Video gemacht habe, ist die neue Version (LMDE6) rausgekommen. Der Link hat sich aber nicht geändert.

P.S. Falls ihr Probleme mit nvidia Treibern habt oder die Spiele nicht vernünftig laufen, probiert die normale Linux Mint Version (Ubuntu Version, Cinnamon). Das macht das mit den Treibern automatisch. Ansonsten gäbe es auch noch alternativ Linux Nobara für Gaming, aber ich fand LM lief besser und sieht auch besser aus und ist übersichtlicher.

60 grams panko breadcrumbs ( 2.11 oz )
120 grams parmigiano reggiano ( 4.22 oz )
40 grams pine nuts ( 1.41 oz )
20 grams butter ( 0.7 oz )
10 grams chopped parsley ( 0.35 oz )
1 teaspoon dried thyme ( 0.91 grams )
1/4 teaspoon oregano ( 0.25 grams )
2 tablespoons olive oil ( 29 ml )
3 minced garlic cloves
salt & pepper ( seasoning )

SAUCE :
1 chopped medium onion
6 minced garlic cloves
800 grams chopped tomatoes in juice ( 28.2 oz )
40 grams butter ( 1.41 oz )
400 ml beef broth ( 13.5 fl oz )
50 grams parmigiano reggiano ( 1.76 oz )
10 grams chopped basil ( 0.35 oz )
55 ml olive oil ( 1.85 fl oz )
1/4 teaspoon pepper flakes ( 0.5 grams )
1/4 teaspoon salt ( 0.57 grams )
1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper ( 0.58 grams )

INSTRUCTIONS :

.in a bowl add 60 grams panko breadcrumbs,50 grams parmigiano reggiano
.add 10 grams chopped parsley, 40 grams pine nuts
.add 3 minced garlic cloves, 1 teaspoon dried thyme
.add 1/4 teaspoon oregano & mix well
.season both sides of tenderised steaks with salt & pepper
.layer on 1 slice of prosciutto for each steak
.layer filling on top & flatten with your fingers
.roll steak & hold in place with toothpicks
.in large pan on medium heat add 20 grams butter
.once melted add 2 tablespoons olive oil
.add stuffed meat & sear on all sides ( 3 to 4 minutes total )
.in a large pan on medium heat add 40 grams butter
.once melted add 55 ml olive oil
.add 1 chopped medium onion & cook for 1 minute
.add 6 minced garlic cloves & cook for 1 minute
.add 1/4 teaspoon pepper flakes, 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
.add 1/4 teaspoon salt & mix well
.add 800 grams chopped tomatoes in juice & mix well
.add 400 ml beef broth & mix well
.add 10 grams chopped basil, 50 grams grated parmigiano reggiano
.mix well
.add stuffed steak & cover with lid
.cook for 90 to 120 minutes until meat is tender
.remove toothpicks before eating

It focuses on speed and security optimisations - the default Linux kernel is heavily optimised using the BORE (Burst-Oriented Response Enhancer) scheduler, while the desktop packages are compiled with LTO and x86-64-v3 optimization, security flags and performance improvements. INGREDIENTS : LEMON CURD

juice of 2 lemons
zest of 2 lemons
100 grams caster sugar ( 3.5 oz )
50 grams butter ( 1.7 oz )
2 beaten eggs

INSTRUCTIONS :

.in a bowl over a pot of simmering water add 50 grams butter
.once slightly melted add zest of 2 lemons, 100 grams caster sugar
.add juice of 2 lemons & mix well
.once butter has melted whisk in 2 beaten eggs
.gently whisk for 10 to 15 minutes until custard consistency
.sieve to remove lemon bits
.pour into a jar & leave to cool ( can store in fridge for 2 weeks )

INGREDIENTS : SCONES ( 12 )

500 grams plain flour ( 17.6 oz )
extra flour for dusting
80 grams sugar ( 2.8 oz )
100 grams cold butter ( 3.5 oz )
30 grams baking powder ( 1.05 oz )
200 ml buttermilk ( 6.76 fl oz )
2 tablespoons buttermilk ( 29.5 oz )
1/2 teaspoon salt ( 1.14 grams )
2 eggs

INSTRUCTIONS :

.in a large bowl add 500 grams plain flour, 30 grams baking powder
.whisk together
.grate 100 grams cold butter into bowl
.with your hand mix flour & butter together
.add 1/2 teaspoon salt, 80 grams sugar
.whisk together
.make a well & set aside
.in a jug add 200 ml buttermilk
.beat 2 eggs & add to buttermilk
.whisk together
.pour wet ingredients into bowl
.mix with wooden spoon until dough consistency
.sprinkle flour on a flat board & place dough on top
.sprinkle flour on dough & shape
.flour rolling pin & gently roll approximately 1 inch thick
.cut out circles with a circular cutter & place a baking tray ( dip cutter in flour )
.brush buttermilk on top of scones
.place in preheated oven 200 c / 392 f for 15 to 18 minutes
.leave to cool

salt & pepper ( seasoning )
vegetable oil ( shallow fry )
hot sauce ( serving )

INSTRUCTIONS :

.in a bowl add 85 grams mayonnaise, 80 grams sour cream
.add 80 ml buttermilk, 1/2 teaspoon dried chives
.add 1/2 teaspoon dried dill, 1/2 teaspoon dried parsley
.add 1/2 teaspoon mustard powder, 1/8 teaspoon paprika
.add 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder, 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
.add 1/4 teaspoon salt, 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
.mix well
.place in fridge
.place cling film over chicken breasts & tenderize
.season both sides with salt & pepper
.coat chicken in flour dip in beaten egg & coat with breadcrumbs
.in a pan on medium heat shallow fry breaded chicken ( 3 to 4 minutes twice on each side )
.place chicken on drip rack to remove oil & get crispy
.drizzle on ranch sauce
.drizzle on hot sauce

"Smaller disk footprint - the size of the minimal install (when disabling the recommended packages) has been reduced, it's the smallest since Mageia 4; the RPM database has switched to SQLite - the RPM database no longer uses the old and unmaintained Berkeley DB, it now uses the modern SQLite, conversion is performed during upgrade from Mageia 8; NFS support is done using system tools rather than our 15 years old forked NFS code, thus gaining support for NFSv4 and co; when using an HTTP server, it's now possible to specify a port different than the default 80; the stage1 images are compressed with zstd instead of gzip; lots of bug fixes and improvements in the partitioner; add 'downloader=curl' in order to switch from wget to curl for downloading packages; the rescue system has been enhanced; live ISO image - the NetworkManager system service is now enabled by default on the Plasma live ISO image (this was already done for the GNOME and Xfce live ISO iimages in previous releases) - this allows network connections to be managed via the Plasma system settings tool as well as by the traditional Mageia network management tools."

INSTRUCTIONS :

.in a pan on medium heat add 500 grams mince beef, cook for 2 to 3 minutes
.season with sea salt & black peppercorn
.cook for 2 minutes
.add 50 grams grated parmesan, 70 ml heavy cream
.turn off heat & mix well
.place beef in baking dish & spread evenly
.sprinkle on 100 grams grated mozzarella & red cheddar
.sprinkle on 250 grams diced smoked ham
.season with black peppercorn
.place in preheated oven 180 c / 356 f for 10 to 15 minutes

.cook for 5 minutes & set aside
.place cling film over chicken breasts & tenderize

.in a pan on medium heat shallow fry breaded chicken ( 5 to 7 minutes each side )

"xserver-xorg-core now uses libseat1 to control rootless startx and access to input and video devices - this has several advantages, the most significant being that it removes the dbus dependency from xserver-xorg-core; libseat1 can use either seatd or elogind as a backend; if you need to override the default choice (autodiscovery), use the LIBSEAT_BACKEND environment variable; if you are using seatd as the backend, ensure the user is a member of the video group - this is only relevant to running startx as a user, X.Org run as root by a display manager is unaffected; users can now enjoy a Wayland desktop without elogind by installing libpam-ck-connector, sway and seatd; ensure the relevant user is a member of the 'video' group and run Sway from the terminal."

Devuan GNU+Linux is a Linux distribution forked from Debian in 2015. The project's primary goal is to provide a variant of Debian without the complexities and dependencies of systemd, an init system and services manager originally developed by Red Hat and later adopted by most other Linux distributions. Devuan's initial beta release was made available in April 2016, together with an upgrade path from Debian 7.0 "Wheezy" and a possibility to switch to Devuan from Debian 8.0 "Jessie". The distribution adopted Xfce as its default desktop.

1 puff pastry sheet
2 salmon darnes ( skinless )
80 grams baby spinach ( 2.82 oz )
65 grams chopped onion ( 2.29 oz )
100 grams cream cheese ( 3.52 oz )
25 grams butter ( 0.88 oz )
55 ml heavy cream ( 1.85 fl oz )
1 minced garlic clove
1 egg
1/8 teaspoon + extra ground black pepper
1/8 teaspoon + extra teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon dried chives

INSTRUCTIONS :

.in a pan on medium heat add 25 grams butter
.once melted add 65 grams chopped onion, cook for 1 to 2 minutes
.add 1 minced garlic clove, cook for 1 to 2 minutes
.add 100 grams cream cheese & mix well
.add 55 ml heavy cream, 1/8 teaspoon salt
.add 1/8 teaspoon ground black pepper, 1/2 teaspoon dried chives & mix well
.add 80 grams baby spinach, mix well & cook for 2 to 3 minutes
.vertically cut puff pastry sheet in half
.place 2 salmon darnes on 1 half of pastry sheet
.season with salt & pepper
.place spinach sauce on top of salmon
.beat 1 egg & brush on sides of pastry
.place other half of pastry sheet on top & press in
.roll in edges & fork down
.brush on egg wash
.score pastry with diagonal lines
.season with salt & pepper
.place in preheated oven 180 c / 356 f for 25 to 30 minutes
