2020 Genesis G90 Review by Rick Walker of the SST Car Show. The Genesis G90 has been redesigned for 2020 model year. It has an improved chassis that is more rigid than the Mercedes Benz S Class, and is now closer in quality and design to its full size luxury car competitors like the BMW 7 Series, Mercedes S Class, Audi A8, Volvo S90, and Lincoln Continental. Our test vehicle came with the top of the line 5 Litre, Naturally Aspirated which produces 420hp and 383lb-ft of torque. The sticker price of our pretty much loaded G90 test car came in at: just over $89,000.
The Genesis G90 has the turbocharged 3.3-liter V6 which makes 365 horsepower and 376 lb-ft. of torque while the G90 Ultimate has a larger 5.0-liter V8 with 420 horsepower and 383 lb-ft. of torque. Both engines are available with all-wheel drive.[10] The G90 has an 8 speed automatic transmission with the manual paddle shifters on the steering wheel.
The G90 has a reskinned infotainment interface that's unique to Genesis. Colored in a bronze and black scheme, the home screen is tiled while the menus scroll. The first screen can be customized, and it's easy to make swipe and pinch finger gestures to move about the screens and zoom in and out on the maps.
Aside from engine and paint, there are no other real options, because in the two trim levels the car basically just comes loaded. In terms of best value the Genesis G90 is the leader in this luxury car segment.
