The giant, Russian, state owned energy corporation Gazprom has stopped delivering natural gas to Germany via the Yamal-Europe Pipeline.
This is Russia’s response to the ending of the NordStream gas project and other sanctions imposed on Russia by Western powers spearheaded by the US.
This is huge news.
Germany has - up until this point in time – got about 40% of their natural gas and oil from Russia. This move immediately puts Germany under severe pressure. It will probably force the Germany authorities to back down from the sanctions being applied to Russia and maybe restart the NordStream gas project.
It will also force Germany to act independently - as a sovereign state not as a member of the European Union. Whatever they do will then be at variance to any EU directive.
Bear in mind that Germany is a big player on the European scene – and within the EU. Germany is the engine behind the EU. And also in NATO.
And if Germany backs out of supporting the sanctions and also the NATO efforts, this will change the geo-political landscape of Europe.
This will be very divisive and it could even lead to a break up of the European Union and NATO.
This is good news for those who are in favour of a multipolar world.
Goodbye New World Order. And good riddance.
Wise up and rise up.
