Arrest of Tommy Robinson for detaining a man who assaulted his eight year old daughter. #freetommy

Tommy Robinson was arrested on Sunday for common assault after detaining the man who apparently assaulted his eight year old daughter. The police did not arrest the alleged paedophile or take his phone to look for evidence. Not only have the mainstream media failed to mention this important context, but the police appear to have failed to fulfill surely their most important duty of protecting children from harm.
We need people power, peacefully but firmly, to stand up for what is right and to protect our children from harm. This is the email I sent to the UK Attorney General today and I suggest that anyone else concerned also contacts this lady.

Dear Madam
I was horrified to learn yesterday about the arrest of Tommy Robinson (aka Stephen Yaxley-Lennon) for physically detaining a paedophile who had assaulted his eight year old daughter while the police refused to arrest the actual criminal and confiscate their mobile phones to search for any evidence of compromising pictures he may have taken. This sends all the wrong signals to sick men who prey on children. Is it because the father of the victim is Tommy Robinson that the police arrested him instead? If so, that is truly chilling.
Absolutely disgusted. Please intervene, arrest the paedophile and squash the charge against Tommy Robinson. Also the police who refused to arrest the actual criminal at the time should surely be reprimanded. As an abuse survivor myself (albeit from when I was a young adult) I know just how abominably damaging ANY form of sexual assault can be. That should surely be the number one priority of police: protecting British children from ANYONE seeking to harm them.
