Let us pray also for the faithless Jews: that Almighty
God may remove the veil from their hearts; so that
they too may acknowledge Jesus Christ our Lord.

Almighty and eternal God, who dost not exclude from
thy mercy even Jewish faithlessness: hear our prayers,
which we offer for the blindness of that people; that

me tell you, God can raise up children for Abraham
from these stones! 9 The axe is already standing by
the roots of the tree – so every tree that doesn’t
produce good fruit will be cut down and thrown
into the fire.’
6 When the chief priests, therefore, and the
servants, had seen him, they cried out, saying:
Crucify him, crucify him. Pilate saith to them: Take
him you, and crucify him: for I find no cause in him.
7 The Jews answered him: We have a law; and
according to the law he ought to die, because he
made himself the Son of God.

The Gospel of John has been used to justify anti-
Semitism—so we should stop reading it on Good Friday
.... a number of comments from
Jewish Twitter users expressing concern about the week
to come. The Christian celebration of Holy Week brings
with it increased anti-Semitic comments, threats and
violence, and it has for over a thousand years. The
justification is always the same: “The Jews killed
Jesus.”
These folks have betrayed Christ!
