So what we call money is not money and what we refer to as cash is not cash. Go try to pay a bill (not deposit) but pay a bill at a bank with cash (car payment for example). They don't want it because they want a paper "instrument" such as a check, money order, cashiers check, promissory note, bond etc. that they can sell and move around and defraud with. The entire system is a scam. That is part of what he just experienced. That particular branch may not have that much so called "cash" on hand and needed an excuse for some time to get it delivered in an armored truck. Who knows.
