Not all Ukrainians embraced the US-sponsored and organized 2014 Maidan coup that replaced a democratically elected government--bad as it was--with a US puppet. Those ethnic Russians in Donbass who rejected the coup were supported by like-minded folk in Odessa who held a peaceful protest against it. This Odessa group was threatened by hard-core Nazis who drove then into the Labor Building and burned them alive, shooting those who tried to escape and tracking down and killing many others--about 100 or more in total. The perpetrators bragged of their exploits. These are the war criminals that Putin and Russia want to bring to justice, along with those directly responsible for the continuing low-grade genocide against the people of Donbass
