Hey! Some of you may remember back in 2019, when I first colored this page for Dark Horse. I've finally reached this image in the revamp, and I thought it'd be fun to do a compare and contrast. One thing that I find valuable is something I've learned from my art courses: it's GOOD to look at your own art critically, and evaluate what you did well, and what you can improve. So this retrospective is just talking about the good and the bad of the old image, and demonstrating some ways I *feel* I improved upon the page.
And of course this is all subjective, and my opinion may change three more years down the road, but hey! We have to meet ourselves where we are, be critical, but also supportive of ourselves :)
If you can't take your own critiques, then you're not going to handle the real world very well XD XD Although, it's true we are also generally speaking our own worst critics XD
