My Wife always teases me about how I leave too early for everything I do? Doesn't matter what it is, going to work, the airport, Doctor, Dentist, you name it, I'm early.
I spent twenty years in the military and the first thing you learn is you are never late, period? If you are late you can't just sneak in, you wait? Formation, class etc.
Usually if you are late you just volunteered for weekend duty?
I have learned to live my life with margin, I leave room for a flat tire, traffic, etc.
Margin removes all the stress, when I arrive I have time to go to the bathroom, get some coffee, talk to people etc.
I also am not a procrastinator, If I need to get something done I'll start early, do a little at a time and finish way ahead of schedule.
Every sense I was a small child I wondered what comes next, after this life?
I always went to church at a young age and learned about Heaven and Hell and believed in them both.
That started me on a quest how to make it to Heaven and avoid Hell. Their is no way I was going to leave it to chance and putting it off didn't seem like a good idea ether?
I needed to know who decides where I go at the moment of death and what do I need to do to it influence that decision?
Rev 1:18 I am he that lives, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death.
First thing I learned was Jesus is the one who holds the keys?
1Jn 1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
1Jn 5:5 Who is he that overcomes the world, but he that believes that Jesus is the Son of God?
My advice is live your life with margin, don't put it off, get to know the one who holds the keys. To leave it to chance you will surely lose?
