As I said before, I decided to start doing completely paused benching at least for a bit, to try and work on my overall performance, and technique. I am still feeling pretty tired, and my paused bench is obviously going to be a bit lighter than my Touch n' go, so I dialed my Training Max back a fair bit, so I can start off at a decent Weight, while not stressing myself too hard from the start, and getting adjusted to it. I could have gotten another rep or two, but my hard cap was ten reps for today. I also finally got myself some rubber tiles, which I have laid under the bench. These help a TON for keeping my feet solid, and rooted to the floor, and ensuring better leg drive. I think these alone are REALLY going to help me, moving forward. I just need to get used to the height difference it causes, which makes the positioning of the J-Hooks different than before. Once I get adjusted, I think I should see some great improvements/benefits! 🤟🏻
