The YouTube channel "abide in the Word" has recently made a video claiming that modern Bible versions (NIV, ESV, NASB, etc.) have "willfully, flagrantly, knowingly adulterated the word of God" through their translation of 1 Timothy 6:19. Is that true, or has the creator of this video missed something? We explore this question in this short video.

Did the Messiah consider the Book of Enoch to be "Scripture"? Adam Fink from Parable of the Vineyard says yes. Adam claims that Yeshua uses the Book of Enoch in Matthew 22:23-33 when he corrects the Sadducees regarding the resurrection, directly referencing it as "Scripture." In this short video, we examine this passage to see if it supports this claim.

In 2 Peter 3:15-17, Peter warns that Paul’s letters contain content that is “hard to understand” and which “the ignorant and unstable” misinterpret. He then connects the mishandling of Paul’s letters to “lawless people.” In this video, I argue that 2 Peter 3:15-17 represents Peter’s warning regarding antinomians (individuals who reject God’s law) who misinterpret passages in Paul’s letters to advocate for lawlessness.

00:00 Introduction
00:37 Who was misinterpreting Paul’s letters?
01:37 What heresies were the false teachers in 2 Peter promoting?
02:12 How did the false teachers misinterpret Paul’s letters?
03:18 "The error of lawless people"
04:20 "Holiness and godliness"
05:13 "The other Scriptures"
06:13 Conclusion

Recently, a “Bible” known as the את Cepher has been gaining popularity among some believers. It incorporates several non-inspired books in its collection, contains numerous inaccurate transliterations and translations, and plagiarizes Wikipedia and other sources. The expression “law of Christ” appears only two times in the New Testament (Galatians 6:2; 1 Corinthians 9:21). Traditionally, interpreters have frequently understood this expression to refer to a new “law” or ethic that supersedes the law of Moses. However, there is a growing scholarly consensus that “law of Christ” directly refers to the law of Moses in some sense. This video makes a case for interpreting the phrase “law of Christ” in Galatians 6:2 and 1 Corinthians 9:21 as a reference to the law of Moses as it is taught and exemplified by Christ.

00:00 Introduction
00:50 Did the Law of Christ Supersede the Law of Moses?
06:22 "Fulfill the Law of Christ" (Galatians 6:2)
09:36 Making sense of Paul's seemingly negative statements about the law in Galatians
11:20 "Under / In the Law of Christ" (1 Corinthians 9:21)
13:27 Not Under Law?
16:28 Conclusion

For centuries, Christians and other theists have utilized cosmological arguments to support the proposition that God exists. However, Justin from "Bullet Holes in the Bible" (@BulletHolesintheBible) insists that Christians who employ such arguments are guilty of "doublethink." He illustrates this with the simple question: "Who created God?" With this question, has Justin successfully dismantled the very foundation of religious belief? In this short video, we discuss why this question misses the point.

Welcome, everyone. My name is David Wilber. I’m an author and Bible teacher. And this is my YouTube channel.

What can you expect to see here? Well, this channel is dedicated to producing quality educational videos on a wide range of topics related to the Bible, theology, and apologetics.

If you’re new to my work, you’ll discover that my perspective is a little unique in some ways. My faith practice closely resembles what you would call Messianic Judaism, which is a Christian denomination made up of Jewish and Gentile followers of Jesus. We place a strong emphasis on the Old Testament, and we incorporate Hebrew liturgy and certain Jewish traditions into our faith practice. So, expect to hear me use Hebrew words and names occasionally, such as referring to Jesus as Yeshua. I also hold to Pronomian theology. Pronomian simply means “pro-law.” It is the opposite of antinomian. As a Pronomian Christian, I believe the Torah—the law of Moses—remains relevant to believers today, and much of my content focuses on the topic of God’s law and how it applies to us. So, expect to see videos on topics like the role of the Sabbath in our lives as Christians, among other related topics.

Again, thanks for stopping by. Be sure to check out my teaching videos, formal debates that I’ve done on various topics, and sermons right here on this channel. If you like what you see, I want to invite you to subscribe to my channel. Also, be sure to connect with me on my website, DavidWilber.com. There, you can find a ton of free resources, learn about the books I’ve written, and subscribe to my newsletter to ensure you never miss an update.

Looking forward to seeing you around. Blessings and Shalom!

Liz Hall, a Christian content creator on TikTok, recently claimed that the name “Yeshua” is, in fact, a designation for Satan. According to her, this revelation was revealed to her by demons, and she insisted that believers who refer to the Messiah by this name are unwittingly engaging in the worship of Satan.

But is the name Yeshua actually demonic? In this short video, I address Liz’s wild claims.

Christian author and teacher Michael Kelley (@bibleInspiredTopics) insists that Christians who obey and teach God's Law "hate Jesus" and are "literally rejecting what Jesus did on the cross for us." He also claims that God's Law is "bondage" and that Jesus freed us from our obligation to obey it. In support of these assertions, Michael cites passages that, according to him, illustrate a dichotomy between the Torah and Jesus's commandments. Additionally, he argues that the implications of Jesus's heavenly high priesthood include the establishment of a new law that supersedes the Law of Moses. In this video, I examine Michael's arguments in support of these assertions.

R. L. Solberg, an outspoken critic of Pronomian (pro-Law) theology, made a video where he argued that we cannot follow the Gospel of Jesus and the Law of Moses at the same time. I responded to that video and demonstrated why none of Solberg’s arguments prove his case. Solberg didn’t like my video and made another video objecting to my critiques. This video is my response to his response. In this video, we will primarily be addressing Solberg’s claim that I mischaracterized his position on the Law. Then, we’ll talk about his other arguments.

Watch my original response to Solberg here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lR-nKg7MgvU

00:00 Introduction
00:43 Did I mischaracterize Solberg's position on the Law?
07:05 Does Jesus's commands include keeping the Law of Moses?
10:37 A double-minded pursuit of God?
11:24 Animal sacrifices
13:33 All believers as priests
14:38 More goalpost shifting
16:31 Conclusion

Dan McClellan responded to my video on why he is wrong about Ezekiel 20:25-26. (Dan thinks this passage is proof that the Torah, at one time, commanded that children be sacrificed to Israel's God.) This is my response to his response.
