Jessica Eden Malakouti, performing under the stage names Eden xo, Jessie Malakouti, and Jessie and the Toy Boys, emancipated herself from her parents, graduated high school two years early, and moved to Hollywood to pursue her show business dreams. She started an all-girl, punk rock band called Shut Up Stella, which signed with Epic Records in 2006. After they disbanded in 2008, Eden decided to go solo. Malakouti signed a publishing deal with EMI in December 2018 and spent two years in London working on dance music with UK production house Xenomania and the label Ministry of Sound.

She launched her band Jessie and the Toy Boys in March 2010. The single “Push It,” released in February 2011, peaked at 7 on the Billboard dance chart. In June 2011, Jessie and the Toy Boys released an EP titled Show Me Your Tan Lines, and Malakouti made her network television debut on the Conan O’Brien Show. Featured on the EP were the songs “Valentine” and “We Own The Night,” which were used in promotion for The CW Network. That year Jessie and the Toy Boys were one of the opening acts of Britney Spears’ Femme Fatale Tour and a main stage act at the Identity Festival alongside Kaskade, Rusko, Steve Aoki, and Avicii.

In September 2013, she signed a new recording contract with Virgin Records initially under the name Jessie Malakouti. She released her debut single under the name Eden xo, titled “Too Cool to Dance,” in June 2014. The song was featured in the fourth annual National Dance Day, and So You Think You Can Dance producer and judge Nigel Lythgoe choreographed a viral routine to it. “Too Cool To Dance” received praise from Billboard, calling it one of “Tomorrow’s Hits” and it also appeared on the American ver..

Big things are about to happen to Eden xo, the 29-year-old singer, songwriter and popcultural polymath.

After writing for and collaborating with major artists such as KYGO, Kylie, Lil Jon, Pitbull, Pet Shop Boys, Fred Falke, Armin Van Burren, and Ava Max to name a few. Not to mention touring alongside Britney, Nicki Minaj, Steve Aoiki and the late Avicii. Eden now concentrates on launching her career as a solo music artist; already receiving huge underground acclaim and club kudos in February 2019 with introductory song ‘Have It All’.

The next taster from Eden’s upcoming debut EP 'The Question' is 'Sorry For Myself'. Tough, angsty and cathartic, its call to arms hook will have the disenchanted regularly singing aloft in defiance. The track also explicitly name checks the likes of Madonna and Dolly Parton, and is Eden’s debt to female songwriters and performers who’ve schooled several generations on what it is to be bold, brave and creative.

Eden’s ‘The Question' EP is released at the end of June, and is preceded by yet another track worthy of pop's highest praise, the plucky yet surprisingly profound 'So Lucky'. A much sort after remix by DJ duo of the moment Just Kiddin will ensure 'So Lucky' dominates summer 2019.

After working with teams behind Robyn, Lana Del Rey, Sigala, Jess Glynne and Madonna, Eden xo is fast becoming a one woman pop avalanche ever gaining pace.
