In the 1870’s Ned Kelly, a man of Irish descent, stood up against (police led) government corruption in order to protect the public, his family and close associates. Defending themselves against the corrupt Victorian law enforcement after attempting to derail the train that transported the police who came to arrest him and his gang. Wearing innovative metal Armour body protection to deflect bullets from the enemy, the Kelly gang successfully prevented many police officers from apprehending them. Shooting, killing and injuring them in the bloody stand off. Kelly was eventually cornered and injured from police fire and captured. He partially recovered from his bullet wounds only to be tried and hanged in what has now become the most famous outlaw revolt in Australian history. He was murdered by the Victorian Government in what is now named ‘The Old Melbourne Gaol’ in November 1880. He was only 25 years old when they killed him. He was the first man to make a stand against the belligerent occupation of Australia. This movie is the story of his short life. R.I.P Ned, you warrior of truth!
