Yellow Kid can jump and duck which needed sometimes to avoid getting hurt. You loose health when you get hit. If you are out of health, it's game over. There seems to be no way to replenish health during the game.

Yakata - Nightmare Project (yakata is Japanese for "mansion") is an RPG with some adventure elements. It was developed by Chime and published by ASK Kodansha. The game was only released in Japan.

The game's protagonist is a young man called Yukiya (you can rename him, tough) who gets summoned to a mansion located on an island. While crossing the see on a boat, a storm rises and a giant wave drags him off-board. He awakens at the coast of the island. Unfortunately, he has lost his memory, probably due to a hit on the head. Only the remains of his invitation letter give his name and the place he wanted to go. Upon arriving at the mansion, three other people, who were also invited, have arrived. Their host is a young woman who is the daughter of a famous architect. Her father has also built the mansion. The reason why Yukiya and the others were summoned turns out to be the fact all the buildings by the host's father absorb and amplify nightmares. The host says that everyone invited has a special power and she wants everyone to stay a night at the mansion. However, the next morning, things take a dramatic turn...

Another try, now with a full squad, up to level four.
Note: I found the controls more responsive and the game smoother on my PC when lowering the resolution.

Warhammer 40,000 - Dark Crusaders is a squad-based first-person shooter which was being developed by Leaping Lizard Software and planned to be published by Mindscape. It was also planned to be released for Saturn. Both versions were cancelled.

Dark crusade is set in games Workshop Warhammer 40,000 setting. Similar to EA's Space Hulk games, you take control over a squad of Space Marines and need to to fight your way through the levels. However, Dark Crusade is more straight forward action and less tactics and command. But you also have a number of orders you can give to your troops like "follow me", "guard" or "charge". As far as I got, there are no special mission objective, you just need to find your way to the exit.

Battles in Time is a strategy game developed by Quantum Quality Productions (QQP) and American Laser Games. It was published by Quantum Quality Productions and probably only released in the US.

In the distant future, mankind has abolished all weapons for the sake of peace, and has formed a utopian world-wide nation. Things change to the worse when an alien race is attacking Earth. In order to be able to defend themselves, people develop a time machine and send one man (you) back in time to learn how to wage war in four different time zones.

The game is a turn-based wargame for up to four players, either human or CPU. Gameplay is turn-based. Each turn is divided into three phases. First phase replenishing phase, were you can buy new troops from points you receive. Next is movement phase where you move around your units. If you start a battle with enemy troops, you will have a tactical battle on a dedicated screen in the third phase.

Free track by German metal band "Die Vorboten" taken from https://dievorboten.bandcamp.com/ .

Note: I accidentally choose only a single marine at the beginning, rendering the game far too difficult. Gameplay with four marine is more towards the end.

The Lost World - Jurassic Park is a run-and-gun developed by Hungarian company Appaloosa Interactive and published by Sega.It was only released in North America, Europe and Brazil. It has no connection to any other game of the same name on other platforms.

The Lost World - Jurassic Park is based on the eponymous movie, but it does not follow the movie's story. You take control of a nameless bounty hunter who is sent to the island from the film in order to catch valuable dinosaurs.

In each level, you get a mission including one or several objectives. Several objectives will take place in a separate area, like rescuing a fellow hunter from a cave. Apart from dinosaurs, there are other dangers like poisonous plants, hostile hunters, boulder dash or land mines. You have several standard weapons with unlimited ammo, like a taser, a dart gun and a shotgun. You can find weapons with limited ammo within in the levels, like a machine gun, grenades or mines. If you find a car, you can ride it to move faster. A car can also hurt enemies by ramming them.

The game can be played alone or in either co-op or competitive two-player mode. Your progress is saved with a password.

A second attempt of playing Prototype after my old video. Once I discovered that you can save anywhere in the level, I got beyond the first boss, but then game froze.

Cedric and the Lost Sceptre is an action-adventure developed by Austrian company Alcatraz (not to be confused with the Swiss developed of the same name) and published by Austrian company neo Software. The game supports 2-button joysticks and its CD version is CD32-compatible.

Cedric is the apprentice of a blacksmith in a fantasy kingdom. His girlfriend is one of the king's daughters, but because of Cedric's lower social status, they cannot make their relationship public. When the magical sceptre of the king gets lost and ends up in the hands of his arch rival, Cedric's girlfiend urges him to volunteer for bringing back the sceptre. If Cedric is successful, the king will hardly be able to refuse Cedric marrying his daughter.

Cedric is an action-adventure where you search vast levels for objects in order to solve puzzles, which in turn will get further. Cedric can jump and punch in several directions. Pressing a key for object mode allows him to take, use and look at objects, or talk to people.

Note: I had to play though again until I reached the level where I left in the first video.

The Shadow is a beat'em up developed by British company Ocean Software. It is based on the 1994 movie adaption of The Shadow. Apparently, the game was cancelled due to the poor performance of the movie, despite being finished.

Gameplay is mostly the same as Final Fight, but there some differences. The Shadow has three special abilities: Dash, Invisibility and Devastate. The latter damages all enemies on screen. The use of the abilities depletes a gauge which can be refilled by collecting a certain power-up. You also have a roundhouse kick which takes some of your health. At some parts of a stage, the Shadow uses handguns which works similar to Capcom'S The Punisher arcade game. Sometimes grabbing an enemey will make the Shadow smash an enemy automatically in an object of the environment, like a fan or a headlight.

Speedball 2 is a sportsgame developed by the Bitmap Brothers and published by Imageworks (in Europe) and Konami (in North America).

While you normally control the team yourself, the game offers a mode where you only play the team manager in the league. You then only choose and train your players. This video shows my first try in this mode.

X-Wing is a action-spaceflight game developed and published by LucasArts.

The game is set in the Star Wars universe. You play a fighter pilot which has joined the Rebellion. You participate in three campaigns against the Empire, during which you will fly the X-Wing, Y-Wing and A-Wing fighter. Apart from the campaigns, there are also historical missions and a series of tutorial missions to get used to the controls. Compared to Wing Commander, gameplay is less straight forward. X-Wing incorporated several new features for the time, like the ability to concentrate all the shield energy to the front or rear of your ship and choosing the distribution of your ship's energy between different systems like weapons and shield.

Aretha is a JRPG developed by JAM (Japan Art Media) and published by Yanoman. It was only released in Japan.

You start off the game alone, but you get to control a party later in the game. Combat is turn-based and from a first-person perspective, while the game uses a top-down view in general. Similar to Wizardry, potential loot comes in a treasure chest after combat, and you have to decide if you want to open it, or not. Apart from items or money, a chest can also contain negative things, like a poison trap or yet another monster.

Taz-Mania is a platformer developed by Technical Wave (probably) and published by Sega (in Europe and Australia) and Tec Toy (in Brazil). It was only released in Europe, Australia and Brazil. It is based on the Loony Toons spin-off series Taz-Mania which is about the character Taz. It differs from all games of the same name on other platforms.

Taz hears a legend about a lost valley were many rare animals live. Among them is a giant seabird which lays equally giant eggs. Taz fancies himself eating a Taz-sized omelette and sets out to find the valley and the seabird's egg.

The game consists of several worlds which have two stages and a boss fight. Taz just need to pass the stages to the end. Taz can spin to kill enemies or smash things. Spinning will depete a gauge which will refill once he stops spinning. If the gauge is empt, Taz cannot spin. There are various items, with both positive and negative effects, which Taz will eat automatically when walking over them. A roated chicken gives some health while a bomb will deal damage to Taz. A star will make Taz invincible for a short time, a 1-up will give an extra life.
