We bought the garage door opener back in November.
It's only been 6 months. Finally getting it assembled and installed. The shop is cleaned and most of the floor is cleared enough to work on putting it together.
I am most impressed with how well made it is. It only cost 4 times as much as the last one I bought before this one. With Bidenomics in full swing I am amazed that I was able to get one without taking out another mortgage.
Thanks for watching.😁😎

Cleaning up the Annex.
Over the winter I kept working on the shelving and moving things into the shop. I also worked on wiring the lights, door opener, outlets and other items.
That meant having various and sundry items stacked in temporary storage.
I intend to have the rest of the equipment moved to the Annex and available for use.
So I spent the day disassembling and sorting pallet wood into usable or scrap wood.
Thanks for watching.😁😎

The pallet that held the sheet metal trim was made of seven 2x6 boards 18 feet long. They were strapped together in a box. The deposit was $79.00 The charge for picking them up was $100.00.
I decided to keep them to make rafters and beams for the Lean-To Roof I planned to make on the north side of the shop. Thanks for watching.😁😎

With the major structure complete I want to start building up the shop into what I have planned. I have a lot of stuff. Spare parts, half done projects, tools and machinery that I use to make or repair other tools and machinery.
With 10 foot ceilings I can build up and use all the space.
To do that I went with commercial design, consumer use racks. Lighter and smaller than the 30 foot tall monsters I use to build in factories. Still capable of holding over 1500 lbs. total weight. Much more than I intend to have on any one group of shelves.
All combined? It's a lot more than 1500 lbs.
Thanks for watching.😁😎

When I started the Old Sneelock's Workshop channel there had been some discussion on the Old Tools mailing list. [email protected] of how to sharpen a woodworking auger bit. I have a fascination with old tools, mainly barn augers. I had studied the problem of how to bring back old, rusty, dull auger bits to useful condition. Word pictures are an art. Very few people can get an idea across to a diverse audience using the written word alone. I worked as an Industrial Engineer for many years. One of the facets of the job was to create work instructions for building and assembling hundreds of differ-ent products. I decided to use the skills others had taught me to put up a video showing how to sharpen an auger bit. If a picture is worth a thousand words, 30 frames a second adds up to a lot of words really quick. Video let's me share what I've learned with a larger audience. I hope you enjoy watching as much as I enjoy making videos.
