But in that, home that I was talking about, we had, an interesting faucet that was probably quite expensive in the stand that went into it, went into bowl. It's drops down into a, sticks up out of the, cabinet. But it had like, the old, fill valves for, pumping up the unloads into it.

Well, they had it hooked up backwards. so that had to be straightened out. And, the faucet in another one was the aerator was clogged up. So, those are things I'm finding out that, even though you have aerators to spread out, the the stream and make it look good on those faucets or those plumbing fixtures, now they're putting water savers on showerheads, like you're you're trying to get wet.

They're putting water savers on toilet fill valves. Okay. The the toilets going to fill to a certain point. Why would you need to put a water saver? Well, they made a law for people, right. So, they're putting these, water savers on, on the downspouts and insert well in inside of, shower, one single ..

As we're going, we're pulling the screws out of the tin. They don't want to say the washers. So we're going to roll and move it and probably get the metal off today. We'll see.

Seven hours later, we got all the metal off the sides and the roof, and we stacked it up over there. And uh. Three quarters of a five gallon bucket full of screws. And we started taking off the one bys through here. What we're doing is using, two by four.

Just like that, we're going to start over again tomorrow because, Clay's got something he wants to do. So this is what you can do if you've a mind you are an American, not American’t.

So now, eight hours later, which is now 15 hours on the job, this is what we got done.

We're still working at it. Should make pretty quick progress when we're down the ground. See you in a little bit.

Well, we've arrived on the job site, but what you don't see when you repairman shows up is that I spent a little over an hour trying to find the faucet. that is specific to mobile homes. Lowe's didn't have it. They supposed to have had it, but they didn't, and Home Depot did. And, that's quite often the case.

Also, we had to check the oil in the truck. put the ladder on, strap it down. There's a number of things you gotta do just to get the materials to do the job. So before you get upset with, how much time the guy has not been there, and then all of a sudden, he charges you. He's got fuel, wear and tear on his vehicle, his time driving into town.

Go into one place, then another. And believe me, even when you check on the app and say, oh, it does have it. And they say, yeah, which shows we got three, but we don't have one anyway. It's a journey and I'm going to take you on it, from this point where we have arrived at the house and the first thing we're going to do is take a ladder extension ladder and fix some metal that flipped up.

So we'll show you that.

So, we drove two hours to come over and see the totality of the eclipse in Mount Judea, Arkansas. You may not know that town, but we are here.

Here we are to see the unusual eclipse once every 20 years.

All right. So these are the things I kind of look for. you might not notice. This pier is done right.

Except to the very top. See where the shackle. They set the pier up where the shackle would be, and it broke the half pad. Can't even tell it on this side. Can't tell so much on this. But you sure can tell it right here on the end. That means that only the little part.

Is holding the house. Okay, so we're going to take jack it up, take that out and put in wood again. It has an inch and a half wood on top. But we need to get a little bit more. So we'll put it in some 4x4s and build it up so it has more squash room. And we'll definitely stay away from that.

Shackled up for the axles.

Now, whenever you're moving this water level around, you're going to have to hold your thumb on it. What I have done in the past is you use like, wire nuts, things like that to stop it up, but you need to make sure they're not leaking because of this level changes because you leaked water out. You can't count on it being the same height anymore.

Okay, so what I normally do is run it over to the frame, the area that I'm going to be leveling, and I stick it above the frame and the friction holds it there. And I can literally, I can just hold touch it like so, and I can see what I need to do without actually. And then I can go over here and jack it up or whatever.

Okay, here's what we're finding. Damage by the termites not going to support the house very good with that. So we'll have to take that up and find out where it goes to, same way as it is over here. That's the kind of damage they can do. But we're going to make it better. That's what we do.

How hard would I work if I was getting paid that much? How much would I treasure that job? And I'm not going to say that I'm lazy or that I mistreat the customer. But when I thought about that, any kind of feel sorry for me kind of attitude and all that stuff started changing because it's not that I don't have that.

I have a bad attitude now is that I purge. You know, it's like, Hey, if I was getting I can pretend if I was getting paid $1,000,000 a day, how hard would I work, you know, but I'm going to want more than one day. So I'm going to pace myself because I'm not going to do such a high quality.

I do pork, such high volume that I do poor quality. So I'm going to be conscientious. I'm going to do a good job because I don't want to lose my job at $1,000,000 a day. So it's more so it's not that I thought I would get $1,000,000, it's because I real..

Mobile homes have their unique things on when it comes to flooring. What would that be? If it's a particleboard floor, you can lose that floor because of a leak that runs into the plastic underneath the house and soaks up to the bottom of the particleboard. And you didn't have any water on top. It’s soaking up from the bottom so you don't have the plastic on the bottom and the water runs down the hillside and it's underneath your house.

It hits the bottom of that particleboard, and that starts swelling up. Particleboard Although the cheaper way of making a floor is the enemy to longevity, you know, invariably somebody is going to spill something. And if it reaches that particleboard, you know, some point down the road, you know you're going to have an issue. I've seen it where mice have chewed on a waterline that's going to the other end in the house, in the living room will have a swelled up place.

And they can't figure out how in the world is this swollen up in the living room because the waterline sprayed up to the bottom of that part..

Mobile home floor is not level. Is floor leveling compound hard to use? No, no it's not it's easy It's it's something less skilled than drywall finishing. You, you're trying to get it level and you can, you know, use any number of flat things to get it flat.

It's it's more about getting used to mixing it. And so it's a plastic like consistency. That term is something you got to get used to because that's a term they use for a lot of things. But that floor leveler, say if you, that usually comes about whenever you have one material that's different than another. So what you might want to do is try to add shims if it's too low or see what you can do to raise the material around it.

But if you can't, you know, the floor leveler is something I use all the time, it's a necessary thing. It's not really hard to do to use. It's not at all. So it's part of flooring on concrete or a mobile home floor or a house, you know, house-house. It's used in all the any kind of flooring. It's it's quite normal. So don't feel like it's just mobile homes.

What do you recommend? Flooring for mobile home? Tile? You know, I don't like carpet because whenever you go and work on a mobile home or house, you pull up the pad and the carpet and you see all the dirt that's underneath there.

Looks like sand dunes that's come from, not just you. But whenever you clean it, the dirt goes down through. So carpet has its advantages and disadvantages. It will wear out all just like all things were will probably the best thing for a mobile I've I've been really happy with traffic master grip strip which is where one has a sticky and it lays on top of the other and it's like you know half of it is, you know, got the under and half of it's got the over so one sticks onto the other.
