Perez's stellar weekend in Suzuka plus his solid start to the year has been crucial in his bid to stay at Red Bull. If anything, the 2024 Saudi Arabian Grand Prix was memorable for one reason, Oliver Bearman's F1 debut. The 18 year old stepped in on short notice for Carlos Sainz and Bearman impressed everyone with his driving in Jeddah. A P7 finish for 6 points made him the highest scoring teenager in F1 history on debut and it also made some waves in the driver market. The final day of 2024 F1 Testing got off to an eventful start with further track issues causing a red flag! Despite that, many drivers got in a handful of laps while others struggled with some mechanical issues. It's Carlos Sainz leading the way in the AM session with continuous running throughout Day 3 in Bahrain!
The second day of 2024 F1 Testing action in Bahrain was a complicated one with track issues and technical problems for some of the teams. It did not however hamper the lap times and lap counts as Carlos Sainz finished the day P1 in his Ferrari. In this debrief show we'll go over the Day 2 lap times and lap counts plus recap all the happenings and also get some insight from the pitlane as to the car performance of the teams.
