I checked the cost of mebendazole at a local compounding pharmacy. The cost was around 500$ per pill. I asked why. They said the cost of their end is extremely high. I then asked a regular pharmacy and they said they are not able to get the drug. I then found out the drug maker no longer makes it. Hence, it can only be purchased from a compounding pharmacy and their cost is beyond the roof and they pass that cost onto us.
