Morris Border

WHITE LADIES ASTON. English, Morris Dance Tune. Collected from the village of White Ladies Aston in Worcestershire, England, named for an order of nuns who were granted land in the parish. The tune "White Ladies Aston" was collected from the singing of George Staite Ombersley, Worcestershire, in April, 1928, by Maude Karpeles, and appears in her manuscript collection. However, several popular tunes were also played for the dance.
