you're being played. don't be gullible. i've lived in ch since '78 except for a couple of years. i know what she says historically are true, but i don't agree with all her conclusions. the history she discribes doesn't exist anymore, but the thought control, the education, even sleep deprivation in the schools to brainwash, the nationalism that is co-opted into racism that chinese are some master race, the economic tyranny, the facsism of industry combined with draconian political control, these are all elements of life here. the similarities are glaring between where the US is headed or the West in general, for the govt. to take the place of the family & raise the children without parent's input. it's all there, but one thing they don't talk about is that states like the US are why this came about. this is why Mao reacted like he did. he was ruled by colonial powers & an Emperor who was a bitch of England. i could go on, but i'm going to cut it off. draw your won conclusions. there's always 2 sides to any issue or 3, 4 or 5...conservatives sometimes want to paint communism as the ultimate boogey man. they talk about all the people that died... look at all the people that died with Nixon! was he a communist, what about Reagan & the Skull & Bones Bush family or Clinton & Obama, Trump & Biden... it's like they want to outdo each other with their kill stats. china today is miles above & beyond the failed states of the West. the bottom line is that man's govts are imperfect at best & are devolving in this Industrial age where corporations & materialism trump common decency & morality.
