It makes an aspirate "s" sound between "th" and "s," but is commonly represented by various (though not all) 'Ajami (non-Arab) peoples. Swahili, for example, decided to represent the name of the last Islamic month (جُمَادَىٰ ٱلثَّانِي) as "Jumadal-thani." Urdu vocalizes it as "Jamadi us-Sani."
