When lawyers discovered that Bayer was knowingly selling products contaminated with HIV, they confronted Bayer.
You would think the “normal” thing to do is to immediately destroy those products. BUT, they were already aware these products were contaminated with HIV – ( virus that caused AIDs) in the first place, they just didn’t think they would get caught selling them.
What did Bayer do?
Bayer's Cutter Laboratories realized that their blood products, Factor VIII and IX or antihemophiliac factor (AHF), were contaminated with human immunodeficiency virus (HIV), the financial investment in the product was considered too high to destroy the inventory.
“The Financial Investment was too HIGH to destroy the Inventory.”
So, what did they do next?
Since they got caught selling this sh*t in the USA they moved the AIDS contaminated product overseas to sell.
Bayer knowingly sold blood-clotting agents infected with HIV to Asia and Latin America months after withdrawing them from Europe and the US.
Bayer produced factor VIII, which was at the time produced from the plasma of about 10,000 donors, was not screened for HIV, and it became a leading killer of haemophiliacs in the early years of Aids.
This occurred in in the 1980’s. The FDA knew, hell everyone knew and not ONE f*cking investigation. The Government knew.
Bayer said they: “behaved responsibly, ethically, and humanely.” They claimed that they followed the “regulations that were in place.”
Well, the regulations in place must not be real regulations, because this is a no brainer.
Are these companies really considered “Health Companies”?
Bayer should have been completely shut down.
They were not even punished. There should be some employees sitting on death row right now, but they are living in their mansions making money selling “health” products to children that they knew was contaminated with HIV.
This makes you wonder just what else did they do and what are they doing now?
They just bought Monsanto. Nothing like mixing a “Health” company with a company that makes cancer causing Poison.
This is one backwards a$$ world run by $$$.
