Duma Speaker Vyacheslav Volodin stated that 'Nazi criminals' should not be swapped, referring to Azov Battalion fighters during his speech in a plenary session of the State Duma in Moscow on Tuesday.

"These are war criminals, and we must do everything to ensure that they are brought to trial," Volodin added.

Earlier on Monday, the Russian Defense Ministry started the evacuation of Ukrainian soldiers from the Azovstal plant to Novoazovsk hospital in DNR.

Ukrainian Deputy Prime Minister Iryna Vereshchuk said that 52 seriously wounded Ukrainian servicemen were evacuated from the Azovstal plant on Monday. The politician added that after their condition stabilizes, the Ukrainian and Russian sides will exchange prisoners of war.
