This video is a follow on from the previous eight videos dealing with the topics I’ve just mentioned. If you haven’t seen those videos, I would recommend you doing so before watching this one.
Let’s continue on talking about Social Credit Systems.
“wrongdoers”
For those citizens who don’t cause any problems, who go along with whatever the State demands of them, none of this is really going to matter too much.
If they are regarded in the eyes of the State as being good citizens, if they don’t do anything wrong, they’re not going to be punished. Indeed, they will probably be rewarded.
As I said in a previous video, the Social Credit System can be thought of as a reward and punishment scheme.
The system only really punishes “wrongdoers”.
the state decides
So, let’s focus on “wrongdoers”.
But before we do that we must bear in mind that, it’s those people in charge of the Social Credit Systems that decide and define what is right or wrong. They alone judge which behaviours, or what speech are deemed right or wrong, good or bad, acceptable or unacceptable. They are the ultimate arbiters – at least in terms of a Social Credit System.
Moreover, they possess the power to label whatever action, or speech however they want. And there’s not much the ordinary citizen can do about it.
In any event … if you are in any way critical of the State, you are liable to get yourself into trouble.
Blacklist
So, let’s look at what punishment could be meted out.
Making comments critical of the Government could, if they were being lenient, lose you points on the Social Credit Score.
But in addition to losing points, you will also probably be flagged as a possible “wrongdoer”.
It’s worth bearing in mind that the file that they keep on you, your profile, always gets added to. Nothing would ever get taken away. Nothing gets expunged as happens nowadays in certain situations. Every action would be recorded on the system and be there for ever more – or at least for as long as the system is in operation.
That said, it could be worse.
It’s entirely possible that you could be defined not just as a “wrongdoer”, but also as a “troublemaker” and could be placed on a “watch list”. This would mean that your behaviour would be monitored more closely than they would otherwise. The State would single you out for special treatment.
A lot depends, of course, on what your comments were and whether or not the State saw you as some kind of threat.
I should say that many factors would influence the reaction of the State.
If the State were facing a lot of criticism, if they feel threatened, then they might be especially sensitive.
