Can you imagine if you woke up in a ditch and couldn’t remember a thing.
Three questions would come into your mind?
1. Who am I,
2. Where am I
3. Where do I go from here?
Millions of people go through their entire life and never ask any of these three questions? The reason why, they think they already know the answers.
Ever been somewhere like a shopping mall or maybe an amusement park and you’re not sure where you are?
Then you see a big signboard with a map of the whole place you look at it and it has an arrow that says “You are here”.
That’s what The Bible is it’s a big signboard with an arrow that says “You are here”.
And it answers all three questions, who am I, where am I, and where do I go from here?
Jer 6:16a Thus say the LORD, Stand at the crossroads, and look, and ask for the ancient paths, where the good way, and walk therein, and you shall find rest for your souls.
The Bible is the most feared book ever written governments fear it so much they make it illegal in their nation. Why, it will set their people free?
People fear The Bible and avoid it at all costs, why, because it may expose them to themselves?
At the moment of death you will know, who you are and where you are.
However the third question “Where do I go from here” will no longer be an option because at the moment of death your fate is sealed.
Everyone in Hell, Hell is like the county jail, they are their awaiting trial and everyone there is wishing they had just took the time to read that signboard.
The Signboard, The Bible would have told them who they were and where they were.
But most importantly it would have shown them where the exits are, of which there are two?
One leads to Hell, The County Jail, where you await trial.
The other one leads to eternal life.
At the moment of death you lose all power, you are no longer free to go where you want to go.
Ecc 8:8 There is no man that has power over the spirit to retain the spirit; neither has he power in the day of death: and there is no discharge in that war; neither shall wickedness deliver those that are given to it.
To the unsaved the Demonic Host will escort them to The County Jail to await trial.
To the saved The Angels will escort you to The Gates of Heaven.
Stop, take the time to rear the signboard, The Bible.
