Jurassic Park: The Ride at Universal Studios Hollywood - My Final Experience POV (2018)
August 30th, 2018. (Uploaded here in March 2022). Goodbye and Farewell to the ORIGINAL Jurassic Park: The Ride at Universal Studios Hollywood. An absolute CLASSIC has been laid to rest. (R.I.P. June 21st, 1996 to September 3rd, 2018) That includes "Jurassic Park in the Dark" during Halloween Horror Nights every year. We LOVED you!! Gonna MISS you!! Anxious & Excited for the future!! Vlog, POV.
-25th Anniversary of the first 'Jurassic Park' movie (1993)
-Same/original video on main channel, 5keeper7ful (Uploaded in Sept 2018): https://youtu.be/Cg60KbVfh9E
-I came back to the Burbank/Hollywood area in southern California, to visit USH again and enjoy my last few/final three ride-through's on Jurassic Park: The Ride, and film my POV's to be uploaded to YouTube. I used both my Iphone SE (outside the ride) and my new GoPro Hero 2018 (queue/pre-show & on the ride). Cheers for the SINGLE RIDER line!!
-I regret not filming on the ride all these years (until this occasion), when the audio, special effects, & animatronics were operating at their fullest potential. Sadly, in the past few years, despite minor refurbishments, many aspects of the ride experience were allowed to degrade or no longer work, etc. (ex. the falling jeep). The quality was suffering and greatly diminished. So the road to extinction was a long and heavily traveled one.
*Which certainly explains the decision to finally cease operations, and perform a 9 month overhaul to deliver something new, fresh, and technologically superior. "LIFE FINDS A WAY" - Ian Malcolm
-Yes, I spent a long time down in the Lower Lot of the theme park to take it all in, one last time: the atmosphere, the iconic music score by John Williams, the ride splashdown from the side and overhead, the narration, the gift shop, and walking under the entrance. We loved you, iconic T-Rex, and the 85ft drop. There was a lot of merchandise for 'Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom', of course.
-I got very up close to see the Raptor Encounter w/ "Blue" the Velociraptor in action! He interacts with people who really want their photo taken. They also also were instructed by InGen employees and trainers. "Blue" likes to snarl and yell sometimes.
*Filmed on Thursday, August 30th, 2018. Since I couldn't get this video edited/uploaded either before or on September 3rd, you are watching this after the ride is officially CLOSED forever, EXTINCT, GONE for good, truly an ancient relic of the past. So please enjoy it as a piece of NOSTALGIA, a LOOK BACK at an adventure cemented in time. The situation is bittersweet, but we can't complain. I'll say, 22 years is a damn good run. Just think, the 'WaterWorld' live show is STILL operating at full potential, more popular than ever, and it's about the same age. We're extremely lucky for that. I'm grateful.
UPDATE: Jurassic World: The Ride has opened at USH and is in full operation. It's still the same "Shoot the Chute" water ride, but now with updated special effects, a new plot line, and new aesthet
