What the UK rules allow:

In November 2018, UK law was amended to allow specialist doctors to prescribe a range of cannabis medicines to patients who might benefit from them.

Cannabis remains a controlled drug that is illegal to produce, possess and supply outside of a strictly defined medical context. However, a range of cannabis medicines that are produced to consistent and regulated pharmaceutical standards can now be legally prescribed in the UK.
