In Niš, 1,300 people were evacuated due to the destruction of a NATO bomb from the 1999 bombing.

▪️NATO bomb left over from the 1999 bombing in Nis, the Department for Emergency Situations of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Serbia should destroy today, the Nis Police Department announced.

▪️The head of the MUP Department for Emergency Situations, Luka Čaušić, said this morning that he expects the action to destroy the bomb, which was found in the Niš neighborhood of Stevan Sinđelić, to be completed quickly and added that the evacuation of 1,300 residents was completed without any problems.

▪️The start of the second part of the action is expected - moving and destroying the bomb in a safe location.
