Plane Spotting POV: Terminal 4 at Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport in Phoenix, AZ (2020)
Afternoon of January 25th, 2020. (Edited & Uploaded in February 2020)
-Plane spotting, V-log, trip report, POV videos, photo slideshow. Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport (PHX). Daytime, mostly clear & sunny, a few clouds, winter season.
-After my two flights that day (PHX-ONT, ONT-PHX/Round trip), I first went back to my car, parked at the East Economy Lot, to relax and let my phone charge for awhile. Then I rode the Sky Train back to Terminal 4.
-I spent a couple hours on the roof of the Terminal 4 parking garage, at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport in Phoenix, Arizona.
-I enjoyed watching and observing all the plane activity (and hearing all the sounds) fairly close up: takeoffs, landings, taxiing the runway, parking at the gate, ground crew servicing, pulling back from the gate. Westbound arrivals and departures.
-Mostly American Airlines & Southwest Airlines, but several others as well. Including United, Frontier, Alaska, Delta, West Jet, Omni Air International, & Spirit. Plus some smaller aircraft and general aviation.
Boeing 737's/757's/767's, Airbus A320's & 21's, ERJ's & CRJ's.
-I filmed and took photos of a lot, including the runways, terminals, control tower, sky train, parking garages, vehicle traffic and scenery in all directions.
-Downtown Phoenix to the northwest, Camelback Mountain & Scottsdale to the northeast, Tempe & Mesa to the east, Gilbert & Chandler to the southeast, South Mountain to the south, Goodyear to the west.
-My videos were filmed/photos were taken with my Iphone SE.
*Since this recording, Terminal 2 has officially closed (to be demolished), and the airlines from there have moved over to the newly modernized/expanded Terminal 3.
*The video's thumbnail is obviously not my own photo. I found it online, it's an overview of Terminal 4 & beyond. It was clearly taken before Concourse D, the new control tower, and the Sky Train were built (Late 90's or Early 2000's?).
Oh, the nostalgia! I was just a kid back then, we flew in/out of Sky Harbor on many occasions, on either Southwest or America West.
-This is my first spotting video/compilation uploaded to my channel. But I previously did this in April of 2018, April of 2019, and November of 2019. I still need to edit and upload those in the future.
-This is a fun, yet only occasional hobby for me. I live not too far away in Mesa, Arizona (moved from SoCal in April of 2018). It's a matter of being available to drive over here and having time to spend. In this case, I was here because I had just flown.
