Garlic mustard is an invasive species that was brought over to North America by European settlers at the turn of the 19th century. Foraging for garlic mustard not only helps the native plant species in affected areas, but it's fun to play with culinary-wise. Today I'll be urban foraging for garlic mustard in my backyard and making a garlic mustard pesto and horseradish.

Garlic Mustard Pesto Recipe:
2 cups garlic mustard leaves
1 garlic clove, roughly chopped
1/2 cup parmesan cheese
1/4 cup walnuts
1/4 cup olive oil
1/4 tsp salt
pepper to taste

1 cup root
3 tbsp white wine vinegar
1/2 tsp salt
