Blood donation - UMSC and Uganda professional drivers network launch a blood donation drive

In anticipation of the upcoming festive season when accidents tend to surge, the Uganda Muslim Supreme Council and the Uganda Professional Drivers Network have joined hands to initiate a blood donation drive targeting bus drivers. This collaborative effort aims to bolster blood bank reserves to meet the heightened demand in hospitals during this period.
Amidst the increased likelihood of accidents during the festive season, Deputy Mufti of the Uganda Muslim Supreme Council, Abdallah Ssemambo, and Ndugu Momo, Executive Director of the Uganda Professional Drivers Network, have launched a collective call for participation in this vital initiative.
The blood donation drive, set to commence tomorrow at the Old Kampala Mosque, seeks to encourage Ugandans to generously donate blood. Ssemambo and Momo emphasized the crucial role of blood donation in saving lives, especially for those in critical need during emergencies and accidents.
