During 2016 Ken Small Architect decided to install a solar photovoltaic system on his house. This seemed like good timing because a prior solar industry boom had run up the cost of solar installation in Las Vegas dramatically. Changes to the local political climate in Nevada have recently driven down costs while panel efficiencies have improved. When the system was installed and operational, Ken decided to make these videos detailing his experience and decision making process as he felt that it was both a financial success.
During the design and installation process of the solar PV system, Ken gathered information and photographs of the items involved in this video series. This first part discusses some background information on the decision making process.
Some of the work was done by the homeowner and architect, Ken Small. Other work was done by professionals. Each step in the PV installation process was detailed.
