Spelunking into Plato's Cave part 1

Plato's allegory of the cave accomplishes two things. It creates a model for how the brain receives information via the senses; and how the brain never experiences reality, but a reflection of it. Second the allegory offers an explanation of Ancient Greece class system of masters and servants; and the delineation of reality perceived by the classes. I also suggest that Socrates was a personified mushroom. Socrates was a literary device, a personification of the mushroom spirt and the guidance it offered.
