The Israeli company SpearUAV has developed the Ninox 103 UW Sub-to-Air quadcopter, which it claims is the first drone that can be launched from a submarine and other underwater platforms. The Ninox 103 has a range of 10 km and an operating time of 45 minutes. With a payload of 1 kg, the drone has a low acoustic, thermal and visual signature and is equipped with electro-optical/infrared sensors for reconnaissance and automatic target acquisition using an artificial intelligence system. Encrypted communications, third-party data integration and inter-domain communications are used to communicate with the submarine, other platforms or special forces teams ashore.
