the rolling stones - 19th nervous breakdown - 'stereo transcription'
NOT an edit. This one is unique. It is a Japanese remastered version. * Though this is just the regular mono version, it still is UNIQUE, for no other album has this mono sound. I can know it for I have over 40 albums with the song on it. The Japanese sure know how to deal with sound quality ! They have a bad attitude if it comes to dealing with whales. They also are not that good in nuclear plants in combination with earth quakes, but, man, they are sound specialists ! For a mono release it sounds stunningly good (though it is available in QUALITY stereo ** it still is mono on "GRRR!" (shame on you, Rolling Bones!). Many thanks to Ron whom I got the album from !
** The album is "Big Hits (High Tide And Green Grass)", released April 25, 1989 - catalogue number P25L 25039. The same master was used for two other Japan only releases of the album: the May 1 1987 P33L 25016 and the February 25 1995 POCD-1919. The three albums all have the UK tracklist and the nine "stereo transcription" songs.
* a perfect stereo version is song 13 on volume 7 of the album "The Rolling Stones - Unsurpassed Masters". The title of the song is "19th Nervous Breakdown (Stereo Mix - Master Vocal)".
Song's recording date: December 3 - 8 1965. First Release: single, February 4, 1966. Album "Big hits (high tide and green grass)", US April 2 1966, UK November 4 1966.
Electric guitar: Brian Jones. Lead vocal: Mick Jagger. Electric guitar & background vocal: Keith Richards. Bass: Bill Wyman. Drums: Charlie Watts.
19TH NERVOUS BREAKDOWN
(Jagger/Richards)
you're the kind of person
you meet at certain dismal dull affairs.
center of a crowd, talking much too loud
running up and down the stairs.
well, it seems to me that you have seen too much in too few years.
and though you've tried you just can't hide
your eyes are edged with tears.
you better stop
look around
here it comes, here it comes, here it comes, here it comes
here comes your nine-teenth nervous breakdown.
when you were a child
you were treated kind
but you were never brought up right.
you were always spoiled with a thousand toys
but still you cried all night.
your mother who neglected you
owes a million dollars tax.
and your father's still perfecting ways of making sealing wax.
you better stop, look around
here it comes, here it comes, here it comes, here it comes
here comes your nilne-teenth nervous breakdown.
oh, who's to blame, that girl's just insane.
well nothing I do don't seem to work,
it only seems to make matters worse. Oh please.
you were still in school
when you had that fool
who really messed your mind.
and after that you turned your back
on treating people kind.
on our first trip
I tried so hard to rearrange your mind.
but after while I realized you were disarranging mine.
you better stop, look around
here it comes, here it comes, here it comes, here it comes
here comes your nine-teenth nerv
