October 25th, 2019. Joe Bonamassa and his band performed live
in concert at the Comerica Theatre in Phoenix, Arizona.
-My POV recordings of some of the songs they played. NOT the complete show. Photo slideshow!
-The guitar event of the year!
-Most recent albums: 'Blues of Desperation' (2016) & 'Redemption' (2018). His newest live album, 'Live At the Sydney Opera House' has been released.
-My first time seeing Joe & his band live. Fantastic! Great for my final concert of the year. It's been a long ride, but the fun is over.
-Happy Halloween season!
-Blues rock, jazz, dancing, fun, loudness, jamming, groovy, funky.
-Guitar, drums, vocals, keyboard, piano, saxophone, horn section.
-This was my second ever visit to the Comerica Theatre, after seeing Mark Knopfler here.
-Views outside the theater, of downtown Phoenix, and my ticket is pictured at the end.
*No set-list for this show, it was never added on the website.
-What is shown/what I filmed:
1. "Evil Mama" (So catchy!)
2. "King Bee Shakedown"
3. Start of "Just 'Cos You Can, Don't Mean You Should"
4. Some of "If Heartaches Were Nickels"(Warren Haynes cover)
5. "This Train" (Long)
6. "Blues of Desperation"
7. "Sloe Gin" (Tim Curry cover)
Encore
8. Some of "Woke up Dreaming" (acoustic guitar solo)
9. "Mountain Time" (Long)
10. End of show, audience cheers! Thanks! The band takes a bow, waves. Goodnight! Goodbye!
*I did NOT film: "The Ballad of John Henry", among others. I regret not filming Joe's "Hello!" talk to the audience and the band member introductions.
