2023 Harvest - Review & Final Weights
Hey youtube,
Just wanted to quickly review the 2023 harvest and give you an Idea of how much the plants yielded. (Sorry I took so long to upload this!)
All the plants got pollinated so I didn't bother to dry trim them like usual
Overall the first meltdown yielded the least. It was one of the smallest plants of the year, but was healthy throughout the grow and produced some beautiful buds. Flavor and smell were of lime. slightly citric in nature, but not of lemon or orange.
The second meltdown was also healthy throughout it's grow, but was noticeably bigger and more vigorous than the first meltdown. This plant finished up first and displayed some slight purpling of the calyxs toward the end of her life cycle. Flavor was also of lime, but less citric and more floral & perfumy. Appears more trichome laden than the first meltdown
The greasy spoon produced better than initially expected. Very resinous, smelling sour and earthy almost luke coffee and skunk. Structure was sativa, but bulbous bud shape resembled a hybrid. One of the most potent plants of the year.
The skittle mittens was also highly resinous, maybe even moreso that the greesy spoon. Structure was very thin and lanky. Smell and flavor was the most unique. Very difficult to describe , but reminds me of soap, menthol, air freshener, and latex gloves. Definitely the most unique and best smelling plant of the year. She was also the tallest plant of the year.
All in all, I really like all four aforementioned plants, would definitely consider growing each strain again, and would recommend them highly.
Both strawberry cough plants took the longest to mature. The second one matured a couple weeks earlier and had a slightly denser bud formation than the first. Overall, both plants were underwhelming. They both were too fluffy for my personal preference and displayed low amounts of resin. I didn't bother to process them and instead plan to create bubble hash in the future after I invest in a portable washi..
