Sharon shares information about the 2023 NSW State Election i.e. when voting in Lower House (Legislative Assembly) number all boxes in preference order on ballot form. For Upper House (Legislative Council), voters have the choice of either numbering above or below the line. If voting above the line, an elector must number one box minimum as their number 1 choice, but it is recommended to number more boxes – preferably all boxes to eliminate any possibility of electoral fraud e.g. tampering of ballot papers.
If voting below the line, a voter must number at least 15 boxes, starting with a “1”. Again, it’s recommended to number all boxes. Use a pen and not a pencil and mark your “1” with an angle at the top and a line across at bottom. “7” (if applicable), should have a line across the middle, so that it can’t be changed to a 1 or a 4.
Sharon has a website called “VOTE WISELY” and will provide margin %, key seats out of 93 electorates, which contesting MPs supported or voted against the 2019 abortion Bill (22 weeks gestation up-to-birth).
Sharon Cousins will provide rating guides & useful resource links soon. https://votewisely.godaddysites.com
P.S. For NSW State Elections, voters only need to number their first preference with a 1 in just one square. Voters may elect to then number other candidates with 2, 3 etc. for the Legislative Assembly (Lower House) - smaller ballot paper.
